One new with two rethemed for a grand total of three rides, plus a few shops, a dining option, and a show...Lest we forget, the originally-announced Fantasyland Expansion had just one ride...and the amazing Wizarding World of Harry Potter featured one new ride.
dinoland, Sunset blvd have 2 eachPlenty of lands feature(d) just one ride. Pixar Place. Africa. DinoLand, U.S.A., Asia, Sunset Blvd, and even the all new Mystic Point (which also has a shop and restaurant like the discussed, single ride version of Avatarland).
There is a reason I used the word ride. Walkthroughs and play areas and the like tend to get left to the side in these sorts of discussions. I believe there was even mention that the single ride version of Avatar might still have trails or some sort of walking experience. But I listed several Walt Disney World lands that either have or had only one ride at opening.I might be missing it, but I can not think of a land at WDW that only features 1 attraction.

I think it's a fair point. And my point would be that a company that thought an expansion with one ride and some meet and greets was sufficient for the "largest expansion in Magic Kingdom history" would not surprise me if it built a (very pretty) land with one ride, dining, shopping, and large blue people. There is a reason I used the word ride. That's why I said feature(d). Sunset Blvd opened with only the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, which remained the sole ride for five years until the opening of the Rock 'n Rollercoaster in 1999. DinoLand, U.S.A. opened with only Countdown to Extinction. Primeval Whirl and TriceraTop Spin opened later as part of Chester and Hester's Dino-Rama.dinoland, Sunset blvd have 2 each
Because if it were one attraction it would be Avatar: The Ride.
Have faith.

You should probably keep reading before replying.DinoLand, U.S.A has 3 rides

i agree its a silly argument to try and derail any real discussion on avatar..you made a valid pointDinoLand, U.S.A has 3 rides

I never said they wouldn't. I said they aren't with Avatar.Yes, because Disney would NEVER talk something up to be more then it actually is.
so phase 2's really do happenYou should probably keep reading before replying.
Only from what I know. I'm not always right. Now stop it y'all 'cause I'm blushing. You say that with conviction and certainty. Do we have an inside source confirming or denying that?
It's not an argument, it is fact. Official comments regarding a land do not, in and of themselves, point to multiple attractions.i agree its a silly argument to try and derail any real discussion on avatar..you made a valid point
Not really sure how the eventual expansion of either is proof of a Phase II happening.so phase 2's really do happen
Except he's wrong on this one.thank you @lazyboy97o

How am I wrong that Disney parks have lands that feature only one attraction? Mystic Point just opened. I've made no comment regarding the actual contents of Avatarland as they stand at the moment. My point has been that an official comment from Disney about a land being built does not indicate a minimum number of attractions.Except he's wrong on this one.
