AVATAR land - the specifics

I re-read my original post on this and I didn't clarify something. I wonder if the "chicken exit" is a difficult thing to get to and will a big deal be made about having to stop things or draw attention to her for doing it? I know it would embarrass her if they made it noticeable that she was leaving. For example, at EE she should be able to walk all the way to the numbered chutes and just walk over to the CM and exit past her/him.

Think you will still be good. It is rarely a noticeable exit, the CM just usually walk you on past the actual ride. I'll check in a couple weeks!

It doesn't matter if the land is based on a made-up space forest populated by made-up cat aliens- if you tell Joe Rodhe to build something, he IS taking an expensive, globe-trotting research trip on the company's dime.

There's a fabulous Ritz-Carlton in both Bali and Jakarta. I have it on good authority that WDI executives almost always stay at Ritz-Carlton when they do these international "research trips", and the "research" is almost always aimed at whatever locale conveniently has a Ritz-Carlton.

Then there is First Class air travel on one of the super-luxe foreign carriers like Singapore Airlines or Thai Airways.

We shouldn't be so gullible to think they flew Exit Row Economy and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. There's a limit to how important this "research" is to WDI, after all.

All valid points and as an accountant it certainly hits home. However, on a $1 billion project even if they spent $1 million on these research trips (unlikely) we are talking about 1/10 of 1% of the project. It's one of those items I couldn't care less about, not when there are plenty of other items to draw one's attention.

Lol you read my mind.

I fail to see the connection between pandora and bali? Research, yea right. More like a trip on Disney.

I don't think I have seen anyone bring this up but I think we all have noticed that when flight of passage has been down during these preview events they are letting people walk through the whole "Mega-Queue" and then by pass the ride part. I know this could be just for the previews but have we considered that maybe this will continue to happen even after it opens. They put so much time and effort into this queue and it really is a big part of the land. It makes sense that they would want this to be something that can always be seen by people and act as just a cool walking trail any time FoP would break down.

The queue is available to tour when the ride is up or down during previews, as Guests who ride actually enter through the FastPass lane (which bypasses 90% of the queue). There is no access lanes for tours - and typically when a ride is down, the building needs to be kept clear.

It's actually funny... the park wasn't made to handle a parade... when they were originally designing the park designers were assured there would be no parade... lo and behold, a few years later, a parade
Wasn't the parade there from the get-go? I could swear I saw one in summer of '98.

Ha, to go to the Mission Space chicken exit you must first stand alone, off the numbers, shamefaced during the entire Gary Sinise video. Always wait until the last possible second to chicken out!
