There's one part of the land that I hadn't seen. Yes Park Journey, I am that "someone." :)

Here are the restrooms:

i am 6'1" and 250. I'd like to think mostly muscle.

I had no problem fitting on the ride. I have had issues on many other theme park rides shoulder and leg wise. There was another rider who could not ride due to being larger.

With that said, the ride is by far the best ride that I have been on.

I'm in the same boat. Part of me wants to cheat and watch the videos but another side says be surprised. So far the be surprised side is wining.

Definitely wait. I spoiled some stuff before I went and I'm mad at myself for it. I will say though everything you see on videos does not do the land justice. I was absolutely blown away by both attractions and the land.

Video and photos cannot even come close to depicting the awesome job that Disney has done with Avatar. The whole land is visually awesome. I purposely avoided all but the most basic photos and reviews. Glad I did. It made the experience so incredible.

Our photos look CGI. It is unreal.

I agree really is amazing. All the little nooks.

I was a little disappointed with Na'vi River Journey and I had thought this would have been my favorite. I feel like they could have done so much more with this one and it was way to short! Now FoP impressed me and I normally do not like simulators! I thought it was amazing! Maybe my only complaint is it would have been cool to actually see your banshee and the wings during the ride... but still amazing!

Here is our ride-through of Na'vi River Journey.

We've attempted to get this as close as possible to how it looks in person.

I see there are guide rails (like Small World, Pirates, etc. have) along the path, which I find extremely confusing. :bored:o_O:confused:

Why is that needed? These boats are connected to a track below, much like the Jungle Cruise boats. JC doesn't have guide rails, and this ride shouldn't either. There is no reason one of the keel boats would ever touch the rails. Am I right?

I am hoping that you, or someone else who's been on it, can explain. Nice video btw.

It did not feel tracked in any way. I'm pretty sure the boats were free floating.

Huh... odd. Poles sticking down from the boats threw me off.

I find visible tracks kind of distracting. They make the ride feel more limited, more artificial. The free-flowing feeling is nice, but don't think it's worth having visible guide rails.

With many new rides being trackless or having no visible track, I'dda thought they'd do the same with this one.

Wow! That was amazing! Thanks for the great video. It looks so visually stunning, I can't wait to see this in person. Although, I think I might be ok if the shaman should ever stop working and sit motionless. She's kind of creepy, like a drunk chick moving to the music and singing along slightly loud and off key. I'll wait for final judgement, that's just the vibe I got from the video.
