I never thought about it before, but the train coming out of Everest the way that it does really does make the mountain look much less than its 29,000+ft. Disney really should have done better with this...
Would be interesting....would seem unlikely as I don't believe there's currently any video tech capable of playing back a 10k stream - but multiple videos can always be stitched and synced together so it's at least possible.Maybe I'm wrong but somewhere I read 10k.
Just a shame it is going to be full of guestsReally does look beautiful as they walk around the area. Truly looks other-worldly, but not biologically impossible/absurd...
When will fp be open for this? I have a suspecting feeling they are going to implement tiers at ak now.

Worth noting that most humans can't even tell the difference between 2k and 4k on a standard movie screen when more than 10 feet away. So even 8k would largely be overkill. Frame rate and color reproduction/ contrast ratio are much more noticeable improvers of quality and realism. So here's hoping they went with Dolby's high dynamic range (forgetting the term - might actually still be Dolby-vision) tech or something similar. There's only a few theaters in the country that have it, but it makes a huge difference especially compared to just uping the resolution.
It is Mount Everest after all.I never thought about it before, but the train coming out of Everest the way that it does really does make the mountain look much less than its 29,000+ft. Disney really should have done better with this...

My comments were inspired by views like these... nothing to do with the mountain shots..

Looks shopped. It looks EXACTLY like the real mountain and here's the pic to prove it.
Looks shopped.
Anyone want to bet how long before one of the attractions breaks down after opening? Lol
I read his criticism as a comment on the stupid GMA banner plastered across the view not the view.Except it's an observation not based on reality. You haven't seen it in person. But I know that you just want to bash everything Disney does lately, so I guess it's to be expected that you would base your opinion of the area on a video, instead of waiting until you can actually experience it.
Looks shopped.
pulling off the smoke/clouds would be a nice touch
