I don't get it. Why is what that's pointing at of special interest?Interesting...

Thanks for the pics! Always love these.
The linear shapes in the lower right/boat ride, and the rectangular 'piers' in the front of the Banshee
attraction really confuse me . . . everything in Pandora is so organic, I don't get the linear stuff.
Boat ride, confusing, or not boat ride, or something . . .
Also, at this point, 'birds-eye' perspective would really help to see the vertical shapes emerging . . .
im guessing the restaurant will be just above those restrooms....Might have been mentioned before, but that building in the center of the photo is the old bathrooms from Camp Minnie-Mickey. Obviously they're keeping it for re-use in the new land (presumably with a good re-theme job inside)
I suppose it's *possible* they kept it solely as restrooms for the construction workers during construction rather than a bank of porta-potties and it'll be torn down eventually, but I doubt that's the case.

BTW, are you implying some people may not "handle" Na'vi food very well?im guessing the restaurant will be just above those restrooms....
There's a bit else we can extrapolate from these (awesome!) photos. Based on the locations of these large scale buildings, specifically that they are not further South toward the existing perimeter, it's safe to say there is no Phase II planned for Avatar land. I think they decided to make something really cool and unique, but also end it at what is to be built now. I mention that as there was much debate very early about whether any additional attractions would be added based on success of the new sequels. I'd say not from these photos. This is not intended to be a 7 part "Potter-esque" land with more phases for later movies.
IMHO, this is a smart move as many of us were concerned about the use of Avatar within AK. So 2 cool attractions (with AC in the summer), a resturaunt, and some **** fine themed restrooms looks to be all this land will get.
I think its more to do with not having enough room...again this land will be about exploring Pandora so that's what we re going to get....I think the floating mtns and bioluminescant land will be huge winners and a game changer in terms of how people tour WDW and DAK specifically

I am still trying to understand what we are seeing in the boat ride area. Why are there light areas and dark areas?
Anyone have any ideas as to where eating service location/s may be? The only thing that is clearly identifiable is the simulator show building and a general idea as to where the boat ride is.
completely agreeI believe the light areas will be contained entirely within the show building. The dark will be semi-exposed to the elements.
The military style bunker will be in the North end of the plot, I assume it will absorb the bathrooms and contain the majority of the food services. I don't think they've earnestly begun construction in that area. It's a relatively simple build compared to the mountains, so it will probably begin serious construction this coming year.

Not sure what you are referring to but I am talking about the light and dark areas here...

I was thinking the same thing. I just showed these to my wife and said, "this is with his bad camera".I love when people apologize for the quality of pictures that are light years beyond what most of us could take
Scott, thanks again for these!
