If i remember correctly thats the pandoras box ride system, which by the way, looks like it would be an awesome ride

Vekoma Pandora's Box Promotional:

It looks like this ride system uses a centrifuge. I wonder if something like this could replace the current Mission: Space attraction at EC and recycle that ride's centrifuge to save money and make an entirely different attraction out of that pavilion (which could also be space themed)?

I think that was retracted almost immediately.

There is still some speculation that it will open later than the other ride. It's way too early in construction to see if that seems true.
it seems like its ahead of the other ride but like you said way to early to tell..ill be honest and so i would be pretty disappointed if that were the case

What is interesting is that I have been reading write-ups on other Disney sites concerning the comments Iger made about the banshee ride. One site in particular has jumped on the fact that since the boat ride was not mentioned during the interview that this invariably means it must have been scrapped. I don't necessarily make that correlation. I also can't see how after viewing the latest round of aerial photos that it isn't obvious that the boat ride area is clearly visible along side the simulator building.

Looks like plenty of room for coaster expansion up to

Depending on the size of the power substation(or whatever it is that is being built on the south side of the plot), there should definitely be room for an expansion pad that can be used for a third ride in the future. The size of said expansion pad would be dictated by how much room the backstage stuff takes up.

The issue that comes into play is theming the backside of the E-ticket building. But, given that you'll be able to see if from outside the park, I predict it will have 360* theming anyway.

I hope you're right- but neither the backside of Everest or of Radiator Springs Cadillac Range in California have any theming. At least, I don't consider the Everest job real theming.

Everest can only see seen from the far end of the parking lot, and the back of RSR cannot be seen from anywhere on property. The Avatar show building is very close the main entrance and will be pretty obvious if not themed properly.

You can hardly see EE, so it's not a huge deal. And who cares about people on the streets outside DCA? :p

But the backside of Avatar will be on display to everyone coming into the lot, especially by bus. They better theme it, or build a really tall screen.
