Avatar construction aerial updates

Everest can only see seen from the far end of the parking lot, and the back of RSR cannot be seen from anywhere on property. The Avatar show building is very close the main entrance and will be pretty obvious if not themed properly.

You can see the back of RSR from the Monorail, which I would consider "on property". You also see some undecorated elements of Cars Land when at the top of Mickey's Fun Wheel. It's not terrible, but you can see it from "inside" the parks to some extent.

As for Everest, I have never understood the griping about the back. It's got rockwork and that temple looking thing -- I'd consider that lightly themed. It's not like it's bare scaffolding.

Anyway, if they did use the most southern part of the Avatar plot, I fully expect it to be themed 360 degrees since it would be right next to the parking lot as you enter.

Can anyone recall any proof from the various views of the Pandora model in the D23 video that was released as to whether or not the back of that show building is themed?

I always thought that there was evidence of an obvious show building sticking out that did not appear themed at all. It looked like a huge green airplane hangar. That always concerned me a bit.

I hope you're right- but neither the backside of Everest or of Radiator Springs Cadillac Range in California have any theming. At least, I don't consider the Everest job real theming.
Everest is probably 10 years away from being hidden by tree cover.

Take a resort bus to AK sometime. Things have gone vertical fast and it's easy to see. Not sure if they plan to ever cover things to make construction hard to see, but at least now not much is hidden.

We are returning to the world in March 2015. We will definitely be using the bus system to DAK so I can't wait to see what it looks like by then. The fact that this is 2.5 years out is killing me. Well, at least it isn't 2011 anymore and it is actually being constructed.

At least Rivers of Light will open in the meantime and help to bridge the gap.

I'm sure pictures will populate this thread, but by March of '15 you'll see the backside of a lot.

Here are some close-ups of the areas discussed - but this isn't the best camera in the world :)

I love when people apologize for the quality of pictures that are light years beyond what most of us could take ;)

Scott, thanks again for these!

Anyone have any ideas as to where eating service location/s may be? The only thing that is clearly identifiable is the simulator show building and a general idea as to where the boat ride is.

The other thing that stands out to me is how close the simulator show building butts up against the perimeter. I will be surprised if the back of the building has any theming. Then again I don't know much about projects like this so what do I know. We need some expertise. Paging @Tom. :D

I'll be interested to see the response if this is how Pandora is handled concerning the views when approaching the park. Although, I am certain that I already am aware of what some of the responses will be. ;)
