Atten Students: School Protest

ya, but maby it stinks due to Florida english teachers are uaually eavil teachers not giving 504 students what they need. I have a wrist problem and she barely acomedated after the principal got invbolved. She gave Topns of work on old novels and only spent 3 weeks on gramor and a month on spalling huge words. The others were reading large noncence books other than Ceaser and The Pearl.

Maybe it's because you haven't applied yourself over the years of your schooling and not taking responsibility for your own failures. You go to school and spend years getting your teaching degree and then sit in a classroom of people like yourself who can't spell or write their way out of a wet paperbag and then get fed up with students blaming YOU.
Stop your protest and start studying and putting the energies you are using for a protest and cutesy avatars into something productive.

I cannot protest, because I like school
i have to admit... thanks to these easy FL schools, I graduated from all honors/ap and dual enrollment classes in HS with an A.A. as well... lol.
The schools here are definitely easy... but still, that's no reason to be apathetic about it. If you want to learn something, go and study for yourself. Don't be tied down to a classroom. I can proudly say that I missed 75% of my junior/senior years of high school and still graduated with a 3.8 GPA and didn't get anything lower than a B.... just make sure that you have the decency to turn in the work from the classes you missed.
I've learned more from travelling and from what I call "the human experience" of just being around other people, than I ever did in my years of formal schooling.
Now for options... should I start grad school in the fall, work towards a B.F.A. or just take some more time off while I continue my soulsearching...

As a Florida MATH teacher, I was disheartened by this thread. First, I spend so much time preparing to make math fun. You cannot base your education on your worst experiences. Second, I am taking so many classes to get certified all that tell me how to get you interested, not to blame the student for their disinterest at all. Now I am a firm believer that I should get the kids interested, it makes the lessons worthwhile, buuuuuuuuuuut people need to take responsibility for themselves. If you don’t make sure you get something out of your education, I guarantee nobody else will. So, cut your teachers some slack, it is not the easiest job. And yes, more often than not, you will get those who don’t motivate you, but you can't let that be your underlying factor to give up! Hang in there!
Well, I am mathematically challenged, but that is for another thread.
I just had to stick up for the teachers. My best girlfriend is one and all I have to say is NO THANK YOU! Out of the house by 6 am, home at around 5 and always with an entire evening's worth of work. All for a measly Catholic school salary. Thank God for people like her!

You need a 504 accommodation for your wrist, and you're complaining about content? Give me a break. You are looking for excuses, you lazy thing, and the real world doesn't care what kind of physical accommodation you need if there's nothing in your head. Blame someone else. Good plan. Why didn't I think of that?
I'm blaming my parents. Those jerks held me accountable for EVERYTHING--if I got in trouble, they wanted to know what I did to deserve it--they never cared about what someone else did. If I got bad grades, they wouldn't even LISTEN to what else the teacher could have done--there they were, pointing out all the things I could have done instead. And now look what happens--I'm a responsible, employed, successful adult. I can't believe my parents ruined me this way. To think I could be unemployed and on the dole if it weren't for them and their stupid home training.
