Someone said the sound is projected towards the floor so that makes it even tougher to hear. They also could have turned it off. Also, I noticed if the crowd is very loud you can't hear it.

the only time i've ever heard it is during our private tour.

every other time if there is even a little bit of sound(guests on both sides of the doors and their muffled talking and footsteps) then you cant hear it at all.
i highly recommend the private tour to anyone

Room was empty, and I actually put my ear to the floor. Guess it wasn't on.
