AP American Idol Preview Feb 5-8

And I will tell you why you are somewhat wrong! You only know American Idol the show! You don't think Disney would add a new ride that didn't feature a touch of Disney do you?

Seriously, what kind of Disney touches could they add to this? Have Stitch interrupt every singer when they come out? Give everyone in the front row a turkey leg? Have the princesses come out on that castle float for no reason? Make a section of the stage a mock up of Le Cellier restuarant and tell everyone its booked? Have it hosted by a bus driver and he can tell everyone about the new 5th gate opening next year? This for the first time that I can think of in Disney history that a new attraction is what you see is what you get and its nothing of any interest to me.

My mystic prediction:

Goblins and Goulies
of Last Halloween,
Awaken the Spirits
With your.... wait a second.

Oh.

Wrong Park.

Here we go.

American Idol
Be a hit for a while,
While Fantasmic! fanboys
Be in total denial

But soon it will fizzle,
As the ratings will die,
And Superstar Theatre
Will be up in blue skies

So quite well it will keep
The people inside
Until something else does
In the form of a new ride...

That'll be $500 for the first reading and $50 for each candle.
That was epic!:D:lol:

You'll just have to wait and see... oh wait! You won't will you since you have already written off the attraction as crap instead of the hard work many individuals have dedicated time and effort over.

^^CM plants in the audience and planted CM performers who are "bad" and get criticized by the judges, because, after all, they couldn't rip a paying guest a new one and that's what the people want to see .

As having seen all applicable rehearsals...it's a somewhat entertaining show. Even if you don't like the TV show.

Luckily for you, the prelim shows are only 25 minutes, and the finale show only about 45 minutes I believe. It's not going to kill your day. BUT, it will make you laugh.

Again, everything deserves a shot. Can't talk crap about it if you haven't seen it. Wouldn't you say that's fair?

That's very fair, which is why I haven't posted in this thread yet.

(although my expectations are low, I won't comment further until I see it)

I agree with you here. You can't judge this until you see it.

I'm not a fan of the show, and probably won't visit this attraction as it holds no interest for me, but I hope it is successful.

Sorry but that was just a silly Jim Hill rumor from what I've seen!

But it DOES make sense... I mean, the judges aren't going to be MEAN to the performers... they're just not going to vote for them...

P.S. Is the Paula equivalent going to pass out while judging? Imagine:

Paula equivalent: (While clapping her hands in a spaz-like manner) You- have- a- GREAT- personality- and you should- (passes out on the judge's table).

But if they set up a judge to be mean to everyone is he really being mean to you or is he just playing the part? There is a way to be mean and entertaining while doing it you know!

Just letting everyone know, I checked the slots last night, and EVERY slot was still available. Looks like they're going to have to MAKE some of us AP's audition!

Not old, just vintage.

Oh jeez. I have the strangest visual now. It involves Mickey beating me with a turkey leg and threatening to lock me in IASW forever if I don't audition. :lookaroun

I suppose that they could "pull people from the park" to audition for it.

What happens when they have a preview and no one is interested? It does not bode well for the attraction! Maybe there aren't enough 16-27 year olds that are AP holders to audition for this. Maybe there aren't any people who want to audition (except during the Pop Warner cheerleader months) at all. Do they have enough "ringers" who will be bad so that the one actual person who actually auditions during a time slot will win (no matter how bad they are)? What happens at the end of the day when the "bottom of the barrel" (brave enough) contestants (who aren't really good enough, but they're the only ones) go up against each other for that "shining HEAD OF THE LINE PASS"? I wonder if there is a clause that says " Only if you make it past the "Producers of the show" that your video of your audition process will make it on TV? Will they have a special episode of the "people from WDW" who got through with no talent, but they were the only ones auditioning, segment on the "real show"?
