Anyone use Airborne?

Hi everyone, I'm leaving tomorrow for vacation and was wondering if any of you use Airborne before getting on the plane. Is it effective in keeping the cold and flu bug away??? Otherwise do you take anything else before or during flight? I want to feel top notch for my long anticipated vacation! :)

I swear by the stuff for now at least. I have some new stuff on the way that is supposed to work considerably better so we shall see.

Hmmm...I've never heard of Airborne. Maybe it's not available here in Canada? Since I always get sick on planes, maybe I'll have to plan a daytrip stateside and bring some back! How much is it?

Thanks for this thread! I've gotten sick the past two times I've gone to Disney (thankfully both were at the very end of the trip or when I arrived home.) I've thought about Airborne for my next trip. Now it's a no-brainer -- I'm taking it!

I love the stuff. As cold remedies (or preventative) goes, it doesn't taste horrible (I'm looking at you, Theraflu), and it really does work. Is it foolproof, no, but it gives you a much better chance of getting through a plane trip (or an office filled with hackers and sneezers for that matter) unscathed.

They even make the product in Gummi form... not as easy to find, though. It's a good way of getting fussy kids to take it. (though they are more intended for AFTER you've contracted a cold... it's a lozenge)

I am also a teacher and I use the stuff all the time! I've been using it a lot right now since it's back to school time!

I prefer the lemon-lime flavor. I really dislike the orange flavor! I've never tried the apple cider flavor. I wish they made the grape flavor for adults, but they only make it for kids.

To save money, I buy the 3-pack when I'm at Sam's Club.

OMG! I coulda used this thread on Sunday or Monday. I've been dying with a stinkin' cold all week, on back to school week no less. Ugh!

I've been sick with the flu at WDW and lemme tell ya, it's horrible. I try to keep everyone in the family pumped full of vitamins particularly throughout the school year. We are flying to WDW this year and I'll be sure to make everyone take this stuff for the 2 days leading up to our departure and each day for the duration of our trip. I'll do anything I can to keep us all healthy.

Thanks for the info!

My dad used it about 3 or 4 months ago when he went to go visit his brother in Houston and said that it tasted nasty as all get out but, when all those people and kids around him coughed he didn't feel like he was going to get sick and he didn't either....well I mean he came home with blood clots but thats a story for another day

So my vote is give it a try...whats the worse that can happen you get sick neways I mean you had like a 50% chance without it to begin with:rolleyes:

I can't speak from experience however I have heard good stuff about it. Take Airborne but don't forget to wash your hands and/or use sanitizer!!! Don't even give the germs a chance to have an encounter with the Airborne!!!

Have fun and remain sick free!
