Any adults ever "cry" when leaving Walt Disney World?

DH and I always cry whenever we go to WDW. DH will get teary eyed when it's our last night. I cry at almost everything. To the music that's playing throughout the parks, to seeing a family getting extra magic, or even riding PPF. I'm such a big baby.

I always get teary eyed when I see the castle for the first time, during Wishes, Spectromagic and Illuminations. And when getting on the ME bus to go back to the airport. I'm glad to know Im not the only one!

I usually get a little teary eyed when we leave but, on our trip this past February I cried my eyes out the night before we arrived. We stayed off site the night of Feb. 5th because we arrived in Florida a day early ( we left our home early to beat a snow storm). Anyway, that night after everyone was asleep I sat on the bathroom floor and bawled like a baby because it was my first trip to Disney in 13 years without my mom. My mom lived in Florida and would join us every year for our trip but, sadly she passed away on March 14, 2009. The funny thing is I swear I could smell her perfume everyday that we were there, it was kind of like she was right there with us.

Wow, thanks for your understanding Ed and way to have a sense of humor.
Oh then I saw you were from Indiana.

Correct. I only enjoy race cars, fried tenderloins, corn, basketball and seriousness. :)

But seriously, I guess I didn't see the sarcasm in your post. I just saw someone laughing at other people's emotions.

That made me cry.

I normally cry when we arrive, or I at least get a little chocked up while I try to hold it back. I almost always cry when we leave. I always think It will be forever before we make it back. Normally it's not that long. ;)

Our last trip (which was also our very first) in June 2008, there were many kids crying on the Magical Express on the way back to the airport.

My boyfriend (who was 30 at the time) shed a couple of tears on the bus as well.

Any other adults who experience sadness leaving WDW?

:(

Well....My kids and hubby would probably say "what does my wife or mom not cry about at Disney...."
Please I cry that final day as we leave the Magic Kingdom and As I take that one last look at the Castle , After we seen Mickey one last time and the girls say goodbye to him (yeah I fill up)....And oh the morning before you leave, getting the dreaded Magical Express packet hanging on your resort room doorknob, ..for the ride home (funny how when you receive it in the mail you are excited beyond belief...look at it a thousand times before the trip itself...But when you get it for the ride after your trip....Oh it just plain sucks..Sorry no other word to desribe!)..Yeah I cry on the way home on the Magical express , especially when the dvd comes on and says "well I hope you enjoyed your visit at the WDW resort..And they sing the (dam now I feel like I could cry )" Now its time to say goodbye "etc song .....Yeah you guys know the rest...I really don't care if I look like an idiot...because I love that place!!!..
God I miss it so...
So yeah I cry when I leave Disney ....and I'm 34yrs old.....And proud of it too!

Is it September yet? I really don't care if I rush the summer....I WANT MY WALT DISNEY WORLD!

Me too, it's so depressing.

Funny how when you first arrive and go check out yor resort room you may see them hanging on other guests doorknobs and you feel for them (at least I know I do) or for those who are waiting for the Magical express to come pick them up....Because you know As their trip is ending, yours is just begining!

I don't cry. On the last day while leaving the MK I say a silent goodbye and "see you next year!"

I'll be there on Wednesday of this week :sohappy:

Our family ritual is staying at the park till it closes then riding the ferry boat while we look at the castle and say our goodbyes. (of course I always cried)
That was when I was growing up as a kid but now that I have 3children of my own and 3 nephews and 1 niece that I consider my own as well, I get teary eyed at different times…
Driving onto park property and just seeing the kids facial expressions looking at all the billboards, etc…
Nothing beats seeing Mickey and gang ride the train to the main gate to open the park. I cry for other reasons as well, missed family members that are no longer with us that loved Disney and tradition.

*And the Fighting Irish.

Eh, not so much. I'm a (Purdue) Boilermaker! :)

When I see this happening, I get mixed feelings. I experience a tiny bit of glee knowing that it's them and not me! But then I know that I've been marked and that within days I'll be sealed with the same fate.

I have been known to cry when leaving.

My eyes welled up a tad when I left the Magic Kingdom the last time back in 1997, mainly because I knew it would be many years before I could afford to go back again. My previous trip had been 19 years earlier, in 1978. So, if that holds true, I might get back there again by 2016...

Realistically, I might be able to go again in 2012.
