Any adults ever "cry" when leaving Walt Disney World?

Without fail...when I arrive I cry:cry: because I'm so darned happy to be in my happy place....I cry at different soundtracks I hear:cry:...on different rides (tear up more LOL) but definitely at Wishes and Illuminations shows....and of course on the long car ride home:cry::cry::cry:. My daughter thinks I'm crazy and maybe I am but it's MY happy place LOL And I go home knowing that yes....I'll be back for our yearly week long trip over Thanksgiving...next year :) Sort of like a continuous circle of life :p It's kind of cool counting down till blast off day and then upon return....starting the clock all over again at 364 days LOL Actually now that I said that "out loud" - it sounds a might sadistic!!! LOL

I always tell myself I won't, and that it's inappropriate for a grown man to cry leaving Walt Disney World, it happens every single time without fail. I always turn and give the theme park (usually MK on that last day) one final look before I bid farewell, and that very moment gets me.

That's me. Chocked up and fighting back the tears...looking back down Main Street, at the castle saying my "I'll see ya real soon's."

I'm such a mess leaving. Glad to hear that there are others crying. It's so quiet while pulling out the gates--everyone in my travel party is always so sad.

Yep.

I sure do. WDW is one of my favorite places on Earth and it's a true vacation for this mom, no laundry to do, no meals to cook, just fun and relaxation. Such a sadness comes over me everytime we leave. I do know that we'll be back but it doesn't help much on the day we leave.

I don't cry, but that last walk down Main St. is taken at a very slow pace.I usually ponder running back down and getting a Dole Whip to go. The car is loaded extremely slow. The last stop at the food court at a leisurely pace. Man I love that place. 385 and a wake up!

I never saw anyone crying(except kids), but then again I am not paying attention when I am leaving. I am going down next week. I am not only going to pay attention, but I am going to stand outside the turnstiles until I see and adult cry..:sohappy:

I couldn't talk for about an hour or two on the final drive away after my College Program ended. I was tearing up and visibly upset. I imagine if we ever move away from Florida it will be a similar experience.

That's basically how I was after my CP ended last May, except it wasn't as I was leaving after my program ended. I stayed there for a few days after my program ended with my family. On our last day there, I spent the day with some friends who were staying longer. As one of them was driving me back to Pop Century, I was crying. He was doing everything possible to get me to stop, but was only making it worse. I sat outside the room at Pop for a good 10 minutes before I could go inside cuz I didn't want to explain why I was crying to my parents. They don't really "get it."

When I went back in January to work as seasonal, I told myslf that I wouldn't cry when Magical Express pulled away. I ended up crying the entire way to the airport.

I dont think ive ever cried, but that last walk down Main St. and under the train station is always a sad one!

BUT...Im moving to FL in a little over a month :sohappy::sohappy::sohappy: and although I'll be roughly 3 hours away, I imagine it won't be quite as sad of an experience

I cry multiple times...when the magical express checkout bag is on our door....when we leave the last evening usually from Magic Kingdom and the CM's are waving the mickey hands....when we depart from gates and see "See ya real soon", on the Magical Express seeing the departure video....just too much (BTW I also cry when we arrive)....My DD 9 always tells me "Mommy it is so good that you're crying beacuse you should always leave your vacation when you are still wanting more...that's what makes it great!!" Pretty deep for 9 years old!!!

if being 20 constitutes me as an adult than yes i have :)

You can't drink away the pain yet! :ROFLOL:

I'm nearly 24, a frat boy, athletic, and I flirt and go after girls. I cry leaving Disney and heading through airport security. To me airport security is the point where the magic ends and the real world begins (and vice versa, once I pass by security at MCO I feel like I'm on vacation and at Disney.)

No I don't cry as I know I will be back usually within a year but I do linger about and soak up all the sights while I can.I generally like Epcot as my last day at the parks as its a longer walk to the car.

Actually it's usually when I arrive, not when I leave, because I usually know when I am coming back, and when I get there I am just so happy/relieved to be there. :)

I do this too- MK for last day as well. Sometimes it turns into a backwards walk just so I can see it until the last possible second.

Absolutely!!! Once I approach the train station it starts to hit me. One time I actually got on the train to take one last ride around the park cuz I really didn't want to leave (wasn't hard to convince the kids either). We are so pathetic.
