Rumor Another DHS Closure?

Not to mention the Muppet Mobile Lab and Great Moments in History with the Muppets seem to be fairly popular. I doubt they'd be around if they weren't.

I dunno, Captain EO was around about 9 years too long during its 'remembering MJ' "temporary" tribute. It def wasn't popular enough to keep around.

I would cry for a long time if Muppets closed. I understand that people may not like it- and they are entitled to their incorrect opinion :)

Muppets are classic. Hands down. Add a small kid-friendly ride to the area, make Rizzo’s pizza much better quality, and add some streetmosphere and you have a perfect little Muppet area. I don’t think they need a gigantic footprint but Muppets are beloved by so many.

They could always re theme Star Tours to Muppets or Indiana Jones in a few years. Depends on what direction they go with the park. OR it’s part of an Star Wars expansion they will need on day one when SW:GE opens

It would be cool to turn that area into an Indy area. Make the IJSS a boat ride of some sort and then turn ST into a follow Indy on adventures. Do the random locations like ST like the Amazon or Pyramids. Turn the Backlot Express into an Indy theme QS place. I'd be all for that.

Couldn't Star tours become part of Muppets land? Be cool but I don't think the demand is there.

It totally isn't, but this could rule so hard.
Imagine if the film had zero, or almost zero CGI, and the roof of the simulator vehicle was modified, like the ones at DisneySea, to have animatronics that drop down out of the ceiling.

They could rip out Star Tours, Muppets, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and the Frozen Sing Along show and I wouldn't bat an eye. Most of those have overstayed their welcome, and the Frozen show is just terrible.

Apparently at least 150 million people would disagree with you.

But there again I hated Nirvana.

The G-Force backstory is quite clever.

I know. That’s why I said “In my opinion” ... but it bears mentioning that just because a lot of people may have bought their records doesn’t mean people like them or that they are good.

You know like Avatar ... just because people bought tickets to the movie doesn’t mean it’s good or deserves an entire land dedicated to it. (Aaaaand there’s your retro board rant of the day, hahaha, that should stir the pot nicely.)

At one point they were going to have a Great Muppet Movie ride that was basically a spoof on the Great Movie Ride, I don't see why they couldn't/shouldn't rejuvenate that idea (of spoofing other attractions in the same park) by replacing Star Tours With this...

Star Tours being turned into a Pigs in Space attraction would be absolutely amazing. It could be a great combination of thrill and humour. Love it.

Since we are talking about closures at DHS here is my dream closures and new attraction/restaurant list:

Close:
Star Tours: The Adventure Continues (a year or two are Galaxy's Edge opens)
Mama Melrose's (a year after Galaxy's Edge opens)
Rockin' Roller Coaster (two years after Galaxy's Edge opens)
Star Wars Launch Bay (two years after Galaxy's Edge opens)
Muppet*Vision 3-D (next year)

Open:
Muppet*Vision 3-D 2.0 (new 3-D Muppet film, written by the team behind the Jason Segal Muppet film)
Gonzo's Italian Parlor (retheme of Mama Melrose's with new Muppet inspired items and more Muppet theming than in PizzeRizzo)
Indiana Jones Adventure (where the site of Star Tours was, to get to attraction you must walk up a path similar to the one in Disneyland)
Marvel Land- Attractions- Avengers: The Quest for the Infinity Stones (Indoor High Tech Roller Coaster) and Captain America: Avengers Academy (a shooter dark ride using the elements of the Ant-Man ride being used in Hong Kong) (using the space of Launch Bay which would make an entrance for the land, Rockin' Roller Coaster with the coaster being demolished for space and the space behind the Sunset Ranch Market)
