This is no longer fluid. Unless plans change post approval, it should be a flat/ round inside ride.

I guess they’ll confirm this in a blog post so their precious D23 announcement wouldn’t have been drowned out by boos from the audience.

. Is it because they don’t want to spend the money? Or because they couldn’t make a better deal with the Travers people? Or some other reason that you know of that you can share? They know how disappointed everyone will be if it’s just a spinner right?

I guess that I'm bright-siding that at least it's a ride and not Enchanted Tales with Mary Poppins. That would really tick me off.

seeing the aerial photos of the area, i think the spinner is best case and i think they will do a good job. Lots that can really make this cool. Plus its one more attraction. We didnt loose one to get it, so that there is a plus.

Poppins deserves better.

I'm okay with a flat ride - though putting it indoors negates one of the main value of such rides in the kinetics, though conversely does make it weather proof - especially with Rat being built next door. But there still needs to be more proper attractions in World Showcase so it can be a compliment as opposed to a "draw". I'm looking at you Germany, Italy, Japan, Morocco, etc....

If it’s a spinner fine...but PLEASE let us have a jolly holiday or royal dalton part of the queue or ride. I really want them to pull off the illusion. She deserves so much better.

It could always be a smaller Fantasyland style ride. Those don’t take up a ton of space.

I'm okay with a flat ride - though putting it indoors negates one of the main value of such rides in the kinetics, though conversely does make it weather proof - especially with Rat being built next door. But there still needs to be more proper attractions in World Showcase so it can be a compliment as opposed to a "draw". I'm looking at you Germany, Italy, Japan, Morocco, etc....

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

Epcot could use a flat ride or two to help round out/diversify its attraction list.

And Mary Poppins doesn't really lend itself well to an attraction. Good attractions are built on good atmosphere/environments. Nearly every environment in the movie is either a real world environment or a generic cartoon version of real world environments.

Mary Poppins is one of the greatest films ever made. But it doesn't really lend itself to anything more than a walkthrough/fancy spinner or a show.

Of course, this is all opinions. But if you look at great IP based attractions, they all are in more fantastical places than London rooftops and streets.

Very pleased with this news. I thought for sure they’d just serve up a meet-n-greet. And Epcot needs something like a charming carousel - especially for my wee kids.

I wonder if they could pull off something like Luigi's at DCA, but instead of cars you're on carousel horses. At load the horses could be in a full circle formation.
