No. They weren’t. IOA was not designed around literature. It was designed around IP and storytelling. Universal anchored the park with Jurassic, which was an expanded play on the USH ride, based on the movies. They went after IP rights for the other islands to build out each world. If someone wrote that was based on literature into the training, they did not consult the design guidelines or original Planning & Development team. Sometimes people get overzealous and add things they think might be true, and it ends up sticking. The better way of describing it would be saying traveling to each island lets you inhabit various stories, from the stories of the comics to Seuss to the stories of mythology. However, when it came to Jurassic, you were specifically going to visit Isla Nublar, not the book. When you crossed the bridge and went through the gates, you were there. That was the original description. There was never any unifying theme in the original concepts for IOA. You were island hopping from theme to theme.
Not to mention that it was originally going to be Universal's Cartoon World had they managed to secure the theme park rights to the WB and DC catalogues. Islands was the Plan B.

But back to Mary Poppins. SORRY!

There will be a more striking disparity here as Kitchen Calamity is a bona fide E ticket.
Not everyone agrees with your opinion on the Rat ride's ratings. We had some debates on that over on its thread. I've ridden it, and feel it is a one-and-done D ticket. Here's another opinion from someone with a little more credibility than I have:

Consensus from WDSP guests is exactly that. Nice ride but not great. It consistently scores better than average but rarely hits E ticket territory.

At least it was announced and construction has started, UK? Not so much.

This thread is clearly marked as rumor - meaning nothing official. But there are posters who are closer to the rumor sources than others, and over the years we've seen what were discussed as "rumors" become official news, and actually come to pass.
Thank you. Some of our younger members would be minded to remember this lest they be mistaken for trolling.

It is always funny how many Youtube channels and vloggers started posting "Mary Poppins attraction coming to Epcot" videos a day or two after this thread had a few hints dropped from @marni1971 and others. I crack up when the Youtubers claim "I checked with my inside sources to verify this", and then they show a screenshot from this website or a tweet. One even showed a post from a member here who is not an "insider", just a member who posts current info after the actual insiders say something, lol.

Everybody that knows how to take a screenshot is an insider now!! smh
