Yes.
In addition; how about a new parade for DCA? Call it the “Parade of Progress”, honoring the history of the entire resort. Probably playing around July to commemorate the resort history.
The floats would include a float honoring the farmland that became Disneyland, and floats based on the various lands of both parks, as well as Downtown Disney and the hotels. First float sequence after the farmland float (“From Vast Farmland”) would be Main Street, with the castle at the end along with the train, the Firehouse Five, and Primeval World. Feathery raptor dancers, some wearing barbershop or train engineer/conductor outfits, accompany the float, along with Oswald inside the castle.
Next is Adventureland, as we see the birds of the Tiki Room, standing above the Tikis as a Jungle Cruise boat floats above a river with hippopotami. We also see Indiana Jones, Marion, and Mutt next to an EMV with Sallah inside. (Willie Scott, Short Round, and Dr. Elsa Schneider may also show up) The Bengal Barbecue is also present, with Aladdin and Jasmine on their carpet just behind.
Next float is Frontierland. (The lands are in chronological order after the clockwise rotation of the day one lands, so Galaxy’s Edge is last). Woody is doin’ a square dance with his pals, meanwhile Davy Crockett keeps looking onward. Even The Swamp Fox is here, on Tom Sawyer Island.
Big Thunder is also here.
Fantasyland is the next land shown, with the first float paying homage to the original dark ride trio. Mr. Toad is in his car, the Witch prepares to throw a massive crystal from the top of a cliff, and Peter Pan and Jane are in flight. Tinker Bell is shown departing (she will return at the parade’s end) just as the Alice float starts. Alice’s float is a massive Cheshire Cat with the Mad Tea Party on his back, peering out of the Tulgey Wood.
On the Matterhorn, one can see Pinnochio’s Dutch, French, and Russian puppets dance beneath the mountain peak as the Blue Fairy looms above. Meanwhile the Yeti has emerged from the other side of the mountain, baring his claws.
A Starspeeder zooms to start the Tommorowland float. The Mighty Microscope is in full display here, along with the little monkey-butterfly companion of Captain EO. A “Mission to Mars” is in progress, with Stitch himself in tow. A “Phantom Boat” races by, while the dancers from earlier return in spacesuits. One may notice the House of the Future, with a glimpse of the “World Beneath Us”. Next, we see flying saucers patrolling around Space Mountain, just as we enter the next segment.
This sequence is New Orleans Square, where we first see the Black Pearl in all her glory. A Haunted Mansion float appears after that. This float features the Disneyland mansion with images of the others behind it. Notice a tombstone reading “Holidayland”, a testament to the lost land.
Critter Country’s float is spearheaded by Pocahontas, as soon we see Pooh and Tigger bouncing to the beat of the Country Bears, as Brer Rabbit falls down Splash Mountain.
Toontown’s float is dominated by Gadget, “driving the float” as Mickey and Friends wave from up top. Some lesser-known Classic Disney shorts characters, like Humphrey Bear, dance behind the float.
We take a break from DL to focus on DCA.
DCA opens with Sunshine Plaza, where Mickey has just arrived from his bus trip with Pluto, facing the diner. Next is Hollywood, where several varieties of colorful being mingle. Mike and Sulley’s night on the town is accompanied by The Electric Mayhem. The Collector however is not having such a good time, as he has been sent packing.
A float dedicated to what were once Bountiful Valley Farm and a bug’s land is present. The front has a tractor carrying crops, while the other half has Flik and pals holding a carnival. A float for the upcoming Marvel area will also be here.
Grizzly Peak is represented with the titular mountain, along with Goofy hang-gliding over the mountain top. Fozzie can also be seen in a raft. The mountain will also roar, as a cameo from Eureka is made, dressed as a mountain climber.
Next is Pacific Wharf, with water elemental dancers proceeding to bridge us to Paradise Pier.
In Paradise Pier, Ariel sings “One Dance” as meanwhile Buzz Lightyear and Woody enjoy friendly competition alongside Violet and Voyd, with jellyfish dancers in tow. Mickey and Oswald are also shown inside the Fun Wheel.
Cars Land is the last of DCA, with Lightning McQueen, Tow Mater, Cruz, and a few more atop a large float of the desert sands. A monument to Doc Hudson is also placed there.
Remember the Starspeeder? Well, Galaxy’s Edge is the next float, an elaborate display of the exotic realm. Droids, Jedi, smugglers, senators, and more can all get along today, with Jar Jar headlining a circus act (more dancers!)
We then celebrate the hotels and Downtown Disney, with leaf-themed dancers accompanying a float with Huey, Dewey, and Louie with their telescope. Meanwhile, a monorail zooms by.
The final float is a dedication to the Disney family, where one can see Tinker Bell again, alongside Oswald, Mickey, Kermit, Spider-Man, Anna, Elsa, and Yoda.
