Agreed, except for the Matt part.
I think most people believe that the voice talent this year is more plentiful than is has been in years past. I know I certainly believe that as well. While most can have a bad night (though, for some odd reason the judges just CAN'T see Adam having a bad night, no matter what he does) the number of vocal talent this year is much improved. Usually two or three of the people at this point in the competition have, in most people's opinions, genuine vocal talent. I'd say all of them have it this year, despite me not being a fan of every single one.

I agree (IMHO!). Some years there seems to have been no one I really wanted to win. This year there are several that I am rooting for. And yes, the judges seem to worship Adam no matter what he does.

Agreed! I'd have to say that Season 6 aka the year of Sanjaya was the worst year by far. Virtually no one from that season ever became really successful.

That's for sure! Then again, there have been a number of weeks where the "professional talent" has not been nearly as good as the contestants.

I am actually with you...I couldn't watch that whole season...much like I couldn't watch the whole season 3...those are the only ones I've not watched full out, except season 1, which was when I didn't watch it at all.

Alison
Adam did less screeching than usual, but also just did less. Alison's phrasing was off and when singing words that started with vowels she interjected an "H" in front, so "over me" became "hover me" it really sounded odd.
Kris and Matt both delivered smooth, seemingly effortless performances and Danny was absolutely brilliant, reminiscent of his knock-out performances during Hollywood week... Something that he's been lacking for a few weeks until tonight.

I thought they were all great tonite. Danny was the one who was really outstanding. I honestly can't say who I think will be getting voted off tomorrow.

I was really glad to see Danny deliver tonight. He's been a bit off the last few weeks (but still good) but tonight he was great again. I liked Allison a lot, too. I think Matt was the weakest.

Didn't watch tonight because of the Magic game, but I guess I'll head over to rickey.org to check out the performances.

I agree...this week was really great for me. But Danny...Danny brought out the Danny I've been missing. That was such a great performance by him, for me. So glad to see him sing like that again.
