Really? But if they're going to Hollywood, wouldn't they already have needed to report? So wouldn't he have had to tell someone? I'm just facinated with how it all works.

Great show tonite. Did anyone else think the kick boxing girl was HAWT?! Wow, she was Carrie Underwood calliber!
Anyways, those were some funny auditions. Especially the guy with the low voice. :lol: And the guy wearing Princess Leia's slave girl outfit.... wow. That was truly gross.

North Alabama. I don't know when she'll be on, but I've heard very good things about her and she is not allowed to talk about the show.
Tonight's show was kinda bizarre. The guy singing the "love song" to Paula was just downright strange.

We really enjoyed the show. Did you all see when the girl came out and they said that she sounded "to Disney", man I wish I could have seen her audition. I bet she was great!:lol:
Oh yea, did anyone see the girl with the missing earring, then it was on, then it was off again? I guess they missed it in editing.

I liked three of the girls (blond kickboxer, black mom of disabled child, blond girl at end). The guy who sang in Spanish had a good voice, too.
The blond hippie chick who kept swearing at the camera was incredibly embarrassing. Ditto for Princess Leia, guy with stalker song, and guy with No S*x song. Ugh. It never ceases to amaze me what people will do to get on TV.

I agree with you on the three girls. They were all very good and have what it takes to win--good voice, good looks, personality, interesting storyline.
The hippie chick got way too much airtime and she was so fake. She knew the camera was on, so she took advantage of it. I was surprised they gave her that much time on camera because she just wasn't that interesting.
Princess Leia needs to grow up.
I noticed that too. My bet is that she was terrible. Do you notice how the panel can go, "you can't sing, you can't hold a note, you're terrible and maybe try something besides a Disney song," and the contestant will reduce that criticism down to something like -"too Disney?"

I'd love to know how many of the bad/weird singers are serious and how many are just trying to get on TV. The Indian finance guy and the fellow who sang the spiritual both seemed under the impression that they actually could sing.
Admission - I've never watched past the bad singer episodes. I think this season I'm gonna try and watch the episodes with the actual finalists. It's just that most of what is sung isn't my style of music. I'm hoping to get caught up in the competition aspect of it. I did tune in a few times last year to catch the phenomenon that was Sanjaya, but after he sang I got bored really quick.

Princess Leia...yeah...she was a little annoying with her ranting...but i wonder if they gave her all that air time for a reason beyond to just be annoying...what if they surprise everyone, reconsider, and let her go to Hollywood!? that would be a shocker!
