American Idol Experience To Close

While I've never watched a full episode of American Idol, AIE is a lot of fun if you get picked to go on stage. If this rumor is true, I'd hope they replace it with something equally as fun guest participation wise.

I agree. Even if you weren't a fan of AIE is was still fun to vote and choose who moves on. My family would talk about our choices and argue for half an hour after, until we reach our pod in ST. However, with the new replacement, it'll be hard to get something just as fun and interactive

While the attraction certainly hasn't pulled in the numbers to warrant staying open, it will be a shame to see it go with probably no legitimate replacement coming for awhile. I'll also hate to see it go because even though they were severely underutilized there, this show was the home to a lot of Equity performers including performers leftover still from the Comedy Warehouse, Adventurer's Club, Disney Channel Rocks, and other shows. It's a shame because there's really not many other places for them to be relocated to these days.

Bare with me, but why is Disney so reluctant to build a Star Wars area? It almost seems like a no-brainer. Even a Half- a**ed version would bring in guaranteed crowds. The SWW prove that.

As for the soon-to-be empty building, The attraction turned into a dud; and even when open the building was an eyesore. Still, I'm not sure why everyone is so happy it's gone without an announcement of something new- it's now one less thing to do in HS and one more reason the park is a half day experience.

Because it will likely take the BAH with it for starters.

This is as inaccurate as the previous information that the land had been scaled back to something similar to CMM.

Cameron clearly stated that there will be several rides. That means at least 3. You need better sources.

2 is a couple
3 is a few
I always thought 4 or more is several?

Keep in mind that this building is literally right next to star tours.

and the entire area in question is very big... without changing the park perimeter

I agree with you. It's like when the parade and Disney Channel Rocks were closed with no replacement still to this day. Were they the best shows? No but that means you replace them with something better not nothing. But I guess people just prefer paying more and receiving less for their money and other people losing their jobs.

I actually think this attraction was well done, but they waited too long to build it and now it's time has come. It would be quite reasonable to bring Jedi Training into that space until the long term plan enters it's construction phase.

I think thats what worries me, guests will be satisfied enough with Jedi Training in there that Disney will decide to make the temporary state permanent, in hopes they dont have to spend money on something more substantial. I mean I know thats a little extreme/far fetched but it wouldn't be surprising either.
