Gundam and DB are actually older than Sonic and about as old as TMNT/Don Bluth’s career.

Squeenix sold Gex a while back. So it cannot be Gex. I have a feeling it could be Mana because it’s getting a new game soon, I don’t think Square wants to focus too much on their remaining Western IP after Forspoken bombed. It’s also odd that Squeenix are even in the running because of KH.

If I was looking at Square and FF--I'd probably say FFXIV makes a lot of sense.

They've had presence before on a western front with Fan Fest; and the number of plays concurrently rises up with each expansion due to the quality difference. And with FFVIIR3 not going to be out until 2027 at the earliest; it would make sense if Square positions FF's focus right now to be on that of XIV with Dawntrail .X content now coming out.

Yeah. Again, it would be bizzare to see IP that have officially crossed over with Disney in a Universal park; maybe this is a way to encourage Disney to allow them to use Alien/Predator, Planet of the Apes, Seth MacFarlane, etc. in Universal?

Gex is still at Square... Somehow? The remake has them listed under copyright. I guess they have a soft spot for the scrimblo.

Life is Strange, unlike the other western Square IP, actually pulls good numbers for sales and has people look back on it like... Somewhat fondly? I wouldn't mind a LiS1 photo op or a kiosk or something... They definitely feel less ashamed of LiS than Tomb Raider or Deus Ex somehow...

Yeah, the majority of the Western IP, such as Tomb Raider, were indeed sold, but I guess they really wanted to see Gex with a Keyblade at some point so they kept him.

Godzilla replacing the Simpsons land at USH could be pretty epic. However, I think Universal likes to keep King Kong as their resident giant monster.

I heard the Simpsons was going to be replaced with a Pokémon stadium.

That was for the USF version of Simpsons. At least at this point in time Pokemon will be exclusive to Orlando.

So what do we get?
IDK. But there have been some rumbling over on the IU forums that in the coming months there will be some rumors coming out regarding future additions to USH post F&F. With the slate of new additions coming to DLR specifically DCA for LA2028, USH knows they have to up their game especially with the Olympics taking place in their backyard.

Man I wish they’d get rid of Kong 360 & finally rebuild the original the way it should have been. That screen tunnel technology will only continue to date itself more & more, either that or replace Supercharged with something akin to the original Kong

Great idea. Kong should go back to being an AA again and be the finale of the Studio Tour. If I’m not mistaken the FnF building is much bigger so it makes more sense there anyway. Then they could put something new in the current Kong building.

Remove Kong from the tour... Godzilla vs Kong ride?
I’m down for this, as long as it means practical effects are used. Imagine how incredible a Godzilla vs Kong attraction would look like on the scale of Kongfrontation, fully realized AAs & all. It’s timeless, I’d much rather Universal bring out some legacy IP rather than shoehorning in more videogame properties. I enjoy SNW but I’m glad it’s tucked away in that little corner

Argh. I've armchaired Imagineered so many ideas for a Monsterverse/general Godzilla land.

I feel Godzilla would be a great get for Universal in general, be it apart of the fan event or something consistent. An IP doesn't last 70 years for no reason.

I'm reserved on more gaming IP in Universal, I want gaming IPs for the sake of good experiences versus the fact they're gaming IP.

Looking at the concept art for the new coaster, the Duff beer garden and pizza place will go away. We just don't know what the front of the Simpsons across the way looks like.

Starting to wonder if they’ll take the opportunity to kill 2 birds with one stone getting rid of both The Mummy & Supercharged with F&F opening soon. I’d absolutely love for them to use both spaces as a tribute to their past, add in some legacy IP. I’m always gonna ask for ET back but I know that’s never gonna happen, as for the tram
however, a BTTF finale would be very welcome.

I’d say use the Mummy soundstage for another elaborate darkride, the show building was created to house one & was never intended for a coaster (the reason why our Mummy falls so short). Then again, I can live with it, I still love the IP & it’s already entered the realm of nostalgia with alot of fans. I’m totally for a technological update, they’ve still gotta fix that ending.

I’d much rather they reuse that soundstage more than anything, I loathe the idea they’d demolish it for something like Diagon Alley

Aside from the return of ET, another good option for a family friendly dark ride would be to use Pokemon. Less likely would be something like Don Bluth.

Titan A.E. ride!!!

Probably not.
How about Dragon's Lair the Ride to go with the upcoming movie.
