Water rides often have another control room near large drops to monitor with direct eyesight so the bottom main one does not have to just look at CCTV.
Yep, Splash Mountain has a small one-person control room at the base of the final lift hill. In the past you could very easily see it (and the person sitting there) by looking over your shoulder to the right as you started ascending but a curtain was added within the past couple of years. You can still see the glow of the monitors from under the curtain though.

Other rides like GRR make no attempt to hide the monitoring person.

This is concept art of the first idea for the Classic Monsters ride at Epic Universe. Honestly this would be perfect for this park. It fits the theme way better, especially going through the movie screen and seeing the monsters.
The multiple paths concept would add some nice re-rideability for the small park too

So this concept was discarded, or is that unknown? All the rumors I've always heard about the Monsters attraction have been Kuka-arm vehicles.

Yeah exactly. But after sitting there for 20min I'm almost 100% sure it is an animatronic sitting at a fake computer. Not many movements and repeating every few seconds for way too long. I think it's for added detail since most people will be looking the other way at the Dinosaur obviously.

I was just curious and couldn't find anything online.
This reminds me of when I went to epcot years ago and my friend and I were in line for mission space. At one point in the queue, there's a control room to your right, and there was a guy sitting behind the control panel. My friend and I kept watching him and debating whether it was a real person or animatronic. We finally agreed after a few minutes that it had to be an animatronic. Then a moment later he stood up and walked out of the room.

When I went at the beginning of June the ride was working perfectly, except the ride stopped us right at the top of the lift before the main drop. We sat there for about 20 minutes, so I got a very long look at the new Dino haha.

In that time sitting at the top of the lift, my friends and I noticed on the right side (opposite the new dinosaur) looks like a control room with monitors and a person sitting at a computer. Does anyone know if that's a real person or animatronic? We debated and decided animatronic, but I'm still not sure. Wish I took a photo.

Yes there is a control room next to the big drop that is always staffed with a Team Member, so that was no animatronic.

That Team Member is making sure that everyone remains seated before the drop.

Earthquake on the Studio Tour also has something very similar. As you pull in there is a control room on right that is always staffed with a Team Member. That TM is making sure that everyone stays in the tram during that attraction.

It was the first ride idea before it was scrapped for the current Kuka Arm ride. The Kuka arm ride for Epic Universe will feature no screens and all animatronics and sets. Personally the drive in theater ride would fit Hollywood better than the Kuka Arm Epic Universe ride.

I really wish USH was getting this Donkey Kong coaster that is rumored for Orlando and Japan over the boring looking Mario Kart ride.

USH desperately needs another coaster, they only have two traditional thrill rides (Jurassic World and The Mummy), and getting another additional traditional (non simulation based) thrill ride would greatly improve the park.

Plus there’s other rumors at IU that Mummy might go whenever the lower lot expands on its side. Hopefully as they build stages on the east side of the studio to replace those surrounding Mummy, they also build enough to replace the stages just west of Nintendo. 16-20

Word is that Hollywood will indeed get Donkey Kong as well.

The rumors going around are that Soundstage 19 and 20 directly behind Super Nintendo World will be demolished to make room for it.

This looks like it could be really cool.

And are you going to take Toad on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and then start yelling and screaming like another certain poster?
