They need to put in like an ariels hide out/treasure room for little kids near VOTLM with like fountains and climbing areas and slides. My little sister loves those areas and it would be great becuase little kids cant do much at DHS.

Sounds like something they might do if LM gets approved for the MK. Of course if we get the Enchanted Forest mini-land, I'm sure it's primary goal would be a place for families with younger children. As Fantasyland should be. I never liked the idea of thrill rides being placed in Fantasyland. Just doesn't make sense IMO.

So it is sounding more and more like WDW's 40th will be like Epcot's 25th? Nothing official unless fans force them to release some mickey balloons and drop some confetti and offer a history tour or two. I can't believe they would do that again.
I definitely think something is on the way as that VP hinted at, with announcements later this year.
It will feel just like Christmas morning. :xmas:

Today Kris Theiler (VP of operations support for domestic parks and resorts) had the chance to speak to a couple of Disneyland Cast members about her experience with the company. She talked a little bit about the restructuring and how she now does double duty for both DLR and WDW. She mentioned her work on DCA including the expansion and then mentioned she was also working on the expansion in the Magic Kingdom. During a Q&A after her presentation a cm asked if she could elaborate on the Magic Kingdom project, wanting to know if it was for the park or the recent DVC expansion. Kris responded saying it is inside the park but she couldn't elaborate any further and said there would be an announcement about the project soon.

If they announce what we all are expecting then it definitely will steal Potterland's hype. Just to remind everyone, Star Wars is a FAR bigger franchise than Harry Potter, which is still relatively new. Star Wars's fanbase is massive and it will definitely be more pronounced if something like Star Tours is getting a large update. Disney needs to know how to appeal to core fans and once they realize that, they can promote the hell out of any of these upcoming projects. Just my 2 cents.

Ummm..he said Soarin and ST2 would not be happening in 2011. He did not say there would not be any annoncements this year, in fact he has hinted there will be. Just not necessarily for 2011.
Not sure what you are getting at. :shrug:

Not in this thread. It was a few days ago. But the way people get attacked for even daring to say they think Disney announcements are on the way has made most people a bit "gun shy". :dazzle:

I really think the anger by some (not you) at people that dare to predict some major stuff coming to WDW and the MK within 5 years really seems.......(um, what's the word?)...........:zipit:.............:lol:
