All DHS, all the Time

Pretty sure it's still there.
Watch a video of the ride.
After the big donut you run a stop sign and nearly get hit. That leads you into the final bit before the brakes.

yup, that's what i thought...i just can't recall seeing it in action during both trips that i took last summer...then again i do have a dory-esque memory, so i may well be mistaken *just keep swimming...just keep swimming*

as i have mentioned in a previous thread, i believe that dhs needs defined areas (a la mk, dak etc) to at least give the park some stability!! however, i don't believe that lucas, henson etc sections are the way to go as they are not timeless enough (though i do believe that there is room for one such section and my preference would be towards pixar place!!)...personally i would like to see the park split into the following sections:

"Hollywood"
would encorporate the current hollywood section plus sunset boulevard
all attractions would be themed to the "hollywood that never was and always will be" and it would include a retheming of rnr to a journey through the villains of disney

"Pixar place"
from histk play ground to animation courtyard
would include the mi roller coaster, a nemo water ride and the retheming of histk playground to a bug's life. also the toy story pizza place would be moved here.

"Broadway"
would stem out from behind tot in the direction of fantasmic
based on the glits and glamour of broadway. it would include fantasmic (with the hat relocated as the entrance), a stage for a cycle of broadway shows where batb is atm (ie lion king, hunchback etc) plus shops, a fine restaurant and pure neon lights!

"Backlot"
would include the area from ijss to the backlot tour
aswell as what is there now, it would host a "one man's dream" dark ride, a uo-style make-up show, an actor's canteen themed restaurant and re-configured star tours (so it was like you were going on a movie set). lma, ijss, backlot and streets of america all fit naturally.

"Animagic"
a new area built behind indiana jones
paying homage to the classic 2D disney animation, animagic would include a pinnochio village (plus dark ride and restaurant), an aladdin flying carpet riding (using the soaring technology) and an alice in wonderland dark ride.

also i would like to see a larger earful tower built and placed just before the entrance of the park to act as the much needed dhs icon!!

i know this has gone a but off topic, but what do you lot think?

I like your land ideas, but I think your attractions ideas need a little work. I think broadway is unnecessary though because there's really no room back there by Fantasmic and the park really focuses more on Hollywood film making and that sort of thing so it would be kind of out of place.

Here's my ideas for what the lands and what they encompass should be:

"Hollywood"- Includes entrance street, GMR hub area, and Sunset Blvd.

"Backlot"- Echo lake area (sort of rethemed to look like a mumbo-jumbo of old sets from different movies), streets of america, backlot tour and LMAX area.

"Pixar Place"- Same as it is now.

"Animation Courtyard"- Same as it is now.

Muppet Studios?:lookaroun

It's sooo funny. Disney doesn't have a CLUE what to do with the Muppets. They are doing this: :lookaroun All we have gotten is the WORST Wizard of Oz remake in the HISTORY of Cinema(It's my fav movie) and the movie in the studios. It is so sad! I think they should do a live variety show(like the one form the 80's) with cutting edge puppets. It would be interactive with classic movie scenes, animatronics and 4d elements. A bumpy ride. Also, I think that it is time for Disney to look into getting more rights like they did with Lucas. DHS needs a fresh/amazing movie series to spice things up. They missed out on Harry Potter. But I think they could do something with Micheal Bay or Peter Jackson. Something like that. Disney really needs to be on the look out for the next Star Wars/Indy J.(just not twilight).

Last weekend was interesting to say the least. On Muppet Vision a lot of the effects and Statler (I think?) weren't working, however the fireworks on the ceiling were (This is recent, as they were still off last month. I can see why- they still didn't work properly.). Speaking of Muppets and effects, I have heard whispers of a possible upcoming refurb so the show can go digital and get some upgraded effects.

Thanks! So we seem to have "confirmation" of ST2 and a new Soarin' film for 2011. Two parks down, two to go.
