Al Lutz -- Fantasyland budget cuts

WOW. TDO scaling back on character meet and greets? That's something I thought I'd never hear. Why are they so dang cheap anyways? They need a history lesson about WDW, and the expenses that were paid to make it as successful as it is.
Not the Meet and Greet. The Phase II Tink Ride...APPARENTLY. Nothing is official yet. Everyone is freaking out over some media moguls musings.:lol:

I'm not nervous, yet.
People want to say I'm wrong but nobody has disputed the Lutz blog. I'm starting to think it is true. Yikes!

:fork:
No news is good news. Wait for proof, and chill.

It is all part of Disney history and lure... Funny thing is, they dangle it right in front of our faces, laughing from their offices, counting the days to their next bonus payout so they can buy the newest, biggest gas guzzler, while we vent on a website about the evil of TDO....

TIME TO DO SOMETHING!!! The revolution is about to begin!!!!
:sohappy::lol: I love the passion and voice in these posts.

I know were the best arent we!!! However our passion didnt help Spaceship Earth any, but it did help Epcot have a little bit of a 25th....Now maybe we can use it to save this fantasy expansion issue, if true, and get a decent 40th celebration.

Okay, who's been practicing voodoo on jt's and EE's bodies? :lookaroun
Steve. He must be sick of us by now. :ROFLOL:

Seriously, though....Rationalize it! It's not bad yet. When it's bad, I'll post as such. :D :p

You know as well as I that there are plans for SSE, it's just taking way too long. EPCOT's 25th, heck yes, and FL and the 40th, too.

If the FL expansion is scaled back, it won't be announced at a stockholders' meeting or anywhere else. It will just happen.

Corporations don't hold presentations to say they're backtracking on something they previously announced with pomp and fanfare. They just backtrack and wait for somebody else to figure it out.

Good points!

Remeber people this is TDO, there is one thing that I am 100% sure about, this expansion will look nothing like the art.

:brick:

The final concept art always ends up looking very similar, no scratch that, identical to the finished product. As for a recent example, E:E. and TSMM.

There is a question and answer session. People are already lining up.

Please, no more revolutions. The stench of the "D-Troops" is still lingering. :zipit:

I'd still be surprised if you got anything other than hollow corporate-speak from it. ("We are always looking at ways to reimagine our timeless experiences from conception to implementation, etc.")

Maybe the fact that it's stakeholders asking will result in a little more candor...but I honestly doubt it.

I go to the world and everything goes upside down.

Can someone explain the situation to me? I'm feeling kinda lazy right now. But if something I heard this past two weeks is true...I wouldn't be surprised at all.

People are freaking out because Al Lutz said that PH and the technology heavy (so I've heard) Tink Dark Ride has been cut from the FLE. Meanwhile Al has listed no concrete proof and has been wrong in the past.

I'm not worried...for one...yet...

I really, really can't talk about it. It would get people fired, including myself.

It has nothing to do with Fantasyland, but it's a gross cost cutting measure that literally made me sick.

Well if thet keep cutting, then less people show up, then they offer discounts, make less money, keep cutting, then less people show up, then they offer more discounts, make less money......

So, is it just me, or does this seem like a poor business model?
