I thought last night's show was a very nice one.

Jack Black and Ben Stiller were rather agitating, and rather unnecessary.

While I think it was classy not to eliminate someone, I thought it was atrocious to do what they did to Jordin.

The Celine and Elvis thing was rather corny. It would have been better if Celine sang alone, without the dubbed in Elvis.

I thought Ellen was a great co-host, and was happy to hear that she was donating $100,000.

Paula's outfit was not appropriate for a family show. Simon couldn't even look into the camera as he stood on stage with Ryan. Not good.

Jordin was absolutely amazing, Melinda was very good, the rest were bleh. I think Chris or Lakisha should go home tonight.

I'm excited for the 2 hour episode tonight!

BTW, maybe I missed it because the recording started ten minuites into the show, but where was Borat? I thought I heard that Borat was going to make an appearance.

He wasn't there. He saw the lineup and decided to not waste his time :lol:. God forbid something actually entertaining on last night's show because it was insanely boring with bad performances. The Carrie Underwood music video was the only thing worth watching in the whole 2 hours.

I loved that, too. And I also loved how Josh Groban was better than all 4 of Il Divo put together. It was a great moment in the show, and well done.

Not really. I hate the Groban song even though he's got an awesome voice and the Clarkson song didn't do much for me either. And I think Ellen is the least funny woman on the planet when she's not in the Universe of Energy or Finding Nemo. Those are the only two things she has done that I have found worthwhile.

So...Jon Bon Jovi is the mentor next week. I wonder if the contestant's have to pick from Bon Jovi songs, or if its just is 80s Week?

It will be interesting to see how well Lakisha and Melinda will sing rock songs. Their best bet will be to go with on of Bon Jovi's ballads.

On the other hand, I think Jordin and the boys will do alright with this theme.
