this is the same area that the had one of the dance parties set up in on Grad Night? right?

although it would look completely different as a restaurant...and I wasn't exactly a Disney fanatic 4 years ago...

It is unfortunately that such a large (and potentially profitable) piece of real estate remains closed so much. Hopefully they will start using this as more of an option since it really can be a help and provide a nice change to the Magic Kingdom dining options. They are obviously keeping the place in good shape based on the photos, and the ability to open the kitchen that quickly.

I was going to post a thread asking about this, but I figure I'll ask it here. Are there any plans to keep the Adventureland Veranda open full-time, re-opening its kitchen and serving food to guests? I believe the food they are serving now is pre-made sandwiches and such.

Why are so many restaurants temporary in the MK? It seems to me the MK could do with more CS even in so called "slow" times. Everywhere you go it's packed all the time!

I've never been inside there and never really knew it existed! Looks nice according to the pictures!

Good news! Now I hope they bring back the egg roll cart to Adventureland. Last time I visited it was gone.

The egg roll cart was one of my family's favorites on our old visit. Definitely a great snack while you are waiting for the parade to start. Sadly I haven't had them my past few trips.

EDIT: Junior Member now! Woot.

Yeah, take a look at the number of Tokyo Disneyland Counter Service and Restaurant Options. It's crazy. We need to stop forcing a few locations to be the only choices, and therefore always turning a profit. It's cheap.

The have been doing this for awhile during the busiest weeks. Both there and the Diamond Horseshoe have been open during Christmas week (and I think Easter week) the last couple years. Some really great spaces... wish they were used all the time... either as food places or something else.

As far as more options elsewhere... not only Tokyo but Paris is well... Adventureland along has two counter service, two table service, and a fairly substantial snack stand.

I don't remember the Veranda being open during busy times of late. The Diamond Horseshoe always is as is El Pirata y Pierco (Or whatever it is called). I normally go during busy times and do not remember the Veranda being open at all of late. The only time i've even been in there recently was for MNSSHP. I could have just missed it being open, but I just don't remember being open as much as it seems the other two seem to open during busy times.

Either Christmas or Easter last year it was open (and possibly both)... was just selling sandwiches and chips but it was open... and it was open at least once the year before too doing the same thing... open often no... but definitely open.

Hmm, interesting. I was there at Easter last year and New Years this past year and didn't notice it as being open. I'm sure it was, it's just I always seem to notice when the other two are open, just surprised that I never noticed this.

Correct. The Veranda seems to be final safety valve for overcrowded dining open only during the times of insane phase 3 closure level crowds.

I always passed by this cart on trips, and finally decided to try one back in 2006...of course as soon as I wanted to get one the cart was closed on my trips.

The good news is, I finally had one back in January. The CM told me that they are open when the park is busier, but this was in relatively slow January, and I've been there during peak season and seen it closed, so I don't know if there's a set schedule for it to be open. Oh, and it was delicious, and a nice snack that's different from the usual WDW offerings (not that there's anything wrong with Churros and Dole Whips :slurp:).

Oh, and bring over flavored popcorn too! :sohappy:
