After the liquor barrier was broken by Be Our Guest, I'm surprised this offering doesn't follow suit. No pineapple floats with rum? That's a disappointment.

I saw this too. The opening is 100ft of more wide and at least that deep. I'm not sure of what they have planned but it deffintily seems like they are going to be expanding the building twords the moat.

Can you tell be exactly where on the building this work is going on? Is it where I have circled in red, or is it the blue area?

Based on the plans I've seen, the building is not being expanded towards the moat.

Wait now that I think about it I was on a bridge crossing into liberty square, so based off the larger map I saw on google it would make more sense if the area I saw was the one shaded in blue.

An interior build-out like this is a 3 month project in the real world, so 6 months is quite reasonable for Disney to finish this.

You don't remove 100ft of wall for ease of access. 10 or 12ft maybe but not 100ft.
It doesn't look like 100' of wall from the picture. The yellow line represents 100' which is almost the entire side of the building facing the water.

And what portion of that yellow line is missing?
I am not sure, it's really hard to tell from the night picture and I also haven't been able to find any really good pictures of what that side of the building looked like.
