Adventureland Veranda - Skipper Canteen restaurant

Don't we have enough Pirates theme already? Besides, the popularity of the movie isn't exactly at its peak.

I for one applaud them for moving forward with something that isn't directly tied to a pop culture franchise.
They could just tie it into the attraction which remains a staple. Not saying that it needs to be a pirates restaurant but if there were ever one I think it would be just fine.

I agree it shouldn't be done but pirates and NOLA not cohesive? You need to go back through the history of NOLA they go hand in hand. That's also it's location in DL
You misunderstand, someone stated they wanted to make new orleans square take over the veranda and the treehouse. Leaving new orleans square next to agrabah, an african jungle cruise area, a polynesian house, and a pirates show building themed to el morro. New Orleans square at Disneyland is beautiful and so is that whole area and it all works well. Because it was designed to be so. But forcing that area into our adventureland just would not work. A LOT would have to change in order to have new orleans square work in adventureland here.

If its supposed to be a Adventureland themed restaurant based off an attraction why not Pirates?
Good idea! They should tie a restaurant thematically in with Pirates. With a Caribbean setting, naval decoration, and nods to the ride such as parrots and pirates (why, they could call it El Pirata y el Perico). That would really tie the land together, and the ride and the restaurant can feed emotionally off of each other.

As @Mark Twain stated, Adventureland with a New Orleans Square has already been done at Tokyo Disneyland. Even then, New Orleans Square was designed as a mid-19th century extension of Frontierland.

The irony is strong with this one ... :D

Question - would this place have operating hours? I mean times when it was actually open. If so, beyond awesome.
