BTW, I think that Monsters Inc should be in the parks somehow. I'm not sure if Tomorrowland is the best spot, but it's not a huge deal to me.

Wow, I don't think I could disagree any more

I haven't checked out Turtle Talk With Crush yet due to a lack of interest, but a clone of that would be better than bumper cars or some other kiddie attraction. At least it seems many people enjoy Turtle Talk and hopefully The Laugh Floor will achieve similar results.

You didn't find Timekeeper character a tad bit annoying?? LOL.......
I haven't seen Turtle Talk, well, cause it was closed when I was there last... My next trip I plan on seeing Turtle Talk...

One thing I've learned about these boards and others like it is that no matter what the Disney company decides to do there will be a very vocal minority who think it is stupid no matter what. Do you guys remember the flames over the change to Mission Space, about how it would be boring, and no fun, and it was destroying a great ride.

I said, patience and lets see what they do. If it doesn't work they can always change it back, but that didn't matter. It was the sign of the coming of the apocalypse to several people. Then it opened and 9 out of 10 reviews have been, "Wow, this is actually really good. While maybe not quite as cool as the original, they still managed to make it be just as fun."

Not quite the armageddon we expected. I have the same hope with this attraction. It doesn't fit perfectly into the original Tomorrowland, but then not every attraction ever did. The speedway has never fit, and the skyway most certainly did not.

You either like Robin Williams or you don't. I have always been a big fan of his, except when he makes films like Father's Day or RV

Actually, I do like Robin Williams... I just think the charcaters of Timekeeper and Fender (Robots) were annoying.... Never saw RV so I don't know how he was in that...

Exactly. And for those of you who missed it when I posted this on another thread back when the Monsters Inc. news first broke, here's your laugh for the day:

Why is it that the fans are always so quick to complain? I hang out on some Apple sites as well, and they're just as bad over there. They complain about every new product Apple comes out with, and they've been doing it for years. They love the current and past products so much that they hype up every possible rumor, and then disappoint themselves with every new announcement, subsequently complaining that it's not as good as the "good old days."

Want a really good laugh? Check out this thread from an Apple rumor site from back in 2001 when Apple first announced the iPod. And tell me they don't sound just like some of the threads here on WDWMagic sometimes. :)

Have a nice day!!!

:hammer: I think if the attraction maintains the essence of Monsters Inc., the attraction will be FINE(notice i said FINE). It would be even better if it had AAs and maybe some SEATS!!!(lol). Remember, Pixar movies usually appeal to the young and old, and i'd rather have that than a meet and greet. Also, the actors must be halfway decent to provide a memoravble experiance. This is Disney, and even if it seems a lot, Disney will do it. It's better than expensive space. Also, the theme: isn't Magic Kingdom "where fantasy reigns"? These attractions are what our imaginations take on the genre is, not what is factual. OMG!!! scary!!!! Just because it doen't fit in exactly, it will not seal it's fate as Pixarland.Phew!!!got that off my chest.....

dont flame(end rant)

You have been flamed :fork:

Actually, I agree that this is better than a meet n greet.. I rememeber everyone complaining about these meet n greets.. now that Disney is doing something with the building, other than a meet n greet, people complain.. AGH!!!!

Alright, here we go...

While I agree that this attraction is not exactly what I wanted to replace Timekeeper, I am happy that something is being put there...

I am sure that the attraction will bring in crowds, (and yes, money). For as we all know, a new attraction brings in the crowds, no matter if it is good or bad (Stitch comes to mind)

I am excited to see exactly how this all works out...but...

I worry about the re-visit value of the attraction, once I see it one time...will I want to see it again? I mean...Turtle Talk is okay, but really, after I saw it once...I never really wanted to see it again.

IMHO, of course.

But, wouldn't the reride value be greater than Time Keeper or any other show for that matter? After all, with Time Keeper and other 3D shows, youare practically guranteed the same experience. The improvisational nature of the technology guarantees at least a slightly different experience each time.
