I would love to see a Spanish pavillion in World Showcase. I too remember when there were talks and plans to put one where the Outpost is located. I was surprised, when we were there last month, that there was no sign of this. Another one, that would be interesting but has little chance of being, is a Russian pavillion.

Now that is the best idea ive heard in a long time, disney could demolish the france pavilion and let the russian mafia finance and build the russion pavilion.:sohappy:

disney would never put in two countries that speak the same language. the africa pavillion could be upgraded but they have that at AK.

I can count at least three countries in the World Showcase that speak the same language. :veryconfu

Spain, again

I do apologize for getting offended by the mexico and spain comment, and interpreting it wrong. I just can't stand ignorance.

I do agree with Spanish food not being the best, I crave American food daily. And with the bull fighting, I don't agree with that either. Though the Spanish will argue the positives of it.

I personally would rather see a different country such as Egypt. A giant pyramid sticking out....That would be soo awesome.

i was in both spain and mexico when i was active duty in the airforce. spain was really nice and i thought before going spain was just "mexico overseas"but when i got there i was wrong.madrid is really awsome and very very old world.i went to many cities in mexico too and some are really old world too like mexico city.

i do remember almost getting jumped by a thousand upset spainards when me and my airforce buddies were standing and screaming for the bull to win(almost caused an internatioanl incident-lol):zipit:

The bull fighting, obviously, needs to go. But, really, is it any different that the millions of animals that are tortured and killed in the U.S. every year?
Yes, there is a difference. But we probably don't need to get into that here. :D

Heading for the great escape.
Africa is a continent made up of many culturaly different countries, there are many avnues to exploit for Imagineers, however it would be inapropriate to lump it as one country.

Me Id like to see a Scottish pavillion, after all a tiny country that has given the world so much deserves the recognition. Then youcould all enjoy deep fried Mars bars, haggis and Irn Bru.

However Id settle for Australia cause that area is under represented.

While Spain would be a nice addition to WS, couldn't we go somewhere else first besides Europe again? For example, South America has not been represented at all. How about Greece? Egypt? India? So many other cultures to go to without going to a continent that has more than one country represented in WS.

Well, actually, Greece is in Europe, so there goes that one. Also, India is in Asia, which already has China and Japan represented, so, by your formula, that won't work either. :p

I know there were plans for a Spanish representation in Epcot, but if memory serves, I think the Spanish goverment and Disney just lost intrest in the project and it was "put on the back burner" (it may have been around the same time as the studios green light) while they concentrated on other things. Another possible reason spain hasn't (yet) been built is that the ignorance of the general american public seem to think that Spain and Mexico and the same thing.

You're right and I'm wrong. Excuse my horrible sense of geography. May I say South America then?

How about Tomato fights and torturing and killing bulls in a ring? :lookaroun

I think this is very unfair! Those are spanish traditions and almost every culture will have some type of different tradition and do things which in American's eyes are off!
We should embrace all cultures and learn from them. I was born and raised in the United States but my grandparents are from Spain. I take offense to being categorized with every other hispanic community. There are so many different hispanic countries with wonderful traditions and people need to educate themselves and be more open to different cultures.

I guess it depends...are there huge stadiums in the USA where it's legally acceptable to torture and kill animals while throngs of people cheer? I mean, maybe there is and I haven't seen them, I don't get out much...
