This is by far the best Oscars I can remember. They aren't taking themselves so serious and the parady clips are hillarious. The montages are breathtaking and the set design is beatuiful.

THREE 6 MAFIA BABY! That was fantastic.

No political statements either! No Bush bashing either! Maybe they realize how little we cared about their opinions.

This one show has changed my opinion about the Oscars telecast. The awards are still political and they still need to have some kind of award for action and comedy films, but at least they seem to be more loose now than ever.

Upset in Best Actor. I haven't seen Capote, but I'm glad Hoffman won. He's been so good in other movies (especially Punch Drunk Love) and he deserves the honor.

I didn't think Hustle and Flow was a great movie, but the music was great. And seeing that at the Oscars brings a huge smile to my face.

Something else I've noticed about the show tonight is how much everyone seems to be having fun and enjoying themselves. Usualy the Oscars are as uptight as can be, but I have actually enjoyed myself tonight too.

The clip montages have been fantastic and they make me proud to be a movie fan.
