What a night! My faith in the Oscars is back. No more Jim Carrey snub talk. They showed tonight that the Oscars does not have to be the same old, same old. I've never been so excited for a film I haven't seen yet

From the Best Week Ever Blog:

CRASH!!!!!!!!

Coincidentally, that's also the same sound heard at Oscar parties across the country as "Brokeback" fans hit the ground. Hard.

Yeah, my faith in the oscars is back too. But unless they pick the right nominees for best musical score next year, my faith will be 100% back. Once again, congradulations to Crash!!!!!

Why so much animosity for Brokeback?

Because everyone in their brother has said it's the greatest thing since sliced bread and some were pushing political agendas along with it. And everyone loves the underdog :)

Well all the best movies are provocative in their very nature. But I think it's extremely short sighted to see Brokeback as simply a movie about the attempted suppression of gays and lesbians.

Tell that to the critics and others that have basically said that same thing while praising it.

Great job Nemo Rocks. I would have loved to have put some money on Crash in Vegas. I really would have went nuts then

Well I haven't seen it yet so I can't comment on how good it was, but everyone I've spoken to says it's alot more Romeo and Juliet-esque than it is Free the Gays-esque
