I've only seen Crash, Brokeback, and Walk the Line.

It'd be nice if Joaquin and Reese win Oscars. And as I've said before, I'd love for Crash to win Best Picture, but I know Brokeback will win. I personally thought Brokeback was good, but not that good. I was so glad when they got off the mountain because I was getting bored out of my mind.

I hate award shows, cause all it is is a bunch of over paid actors patting themselves on the back and making political statements, which noone could care less what they think.

I would like to see Joaquin Phoenix win. I think he captured Johnny Cash as well as anyone could have.

My uncle knew and sang with the Carters, and he said that Reese Witherspoon got June Carter (Cash) down also. So, she deserves it also.

Sad part is, I think that Joaquin had a harder job to do (after all, Reese was born and raised in Nashville, and her first big role -- in "Man in the Moon" -- was a young Southern girl from the hills, like June was). But they both did do their own singing -- AND their own playing of instruments. He learned to play the guitar, and she the autoharp.

So, in my view, I wish they both should win in the acting categories.

I really want to see Walk the Line. I care nothing about country music and I wouldn't know a Johnny Cash song if it hit me in the head, but from what I've seen, this looks like a classic bio pic much like Man on the Moon. Hopefully this will be the picture that I thought I was going to see when I went into "Ray".

I'm gonna be watching, but I'm not too excited. I haven't heard of or seen any of the movies nominated in the main catagories. I'm also very dissapointed in the technical awards. Especially music. I mean, come on, Pride and Predgidice, The Constant Gardener, and Brokeback mountain all had very mediocre scores. I really can't beleive that Narnia's score didn't get nominated. It was the best score of the year!!!! Oh well, there's always best visual effects, and sound design, which are pretty much the only catagories where they got it right...

Well, I must say that Hoffman in Capote really blew me away. Whereas I believe that Phoenix did an excellent IMPERSONATION of Johnny Cash, I think that Hoffman not only caputred the mannerisms, but gave a stellar performance.

All in all, this is really a year to celebrate great lead performances. If you think about it, all the actors nominated technically deserve to win, and probably could have if it wasn't for such amazing competition.

Well, the red carpet show is on right now. Gosh, I'm really not excited for tonite. However, I'm more interested in the technical awards like visual effects, sound, ect.

Yeah they showed Batman Begins in the montage :) and ended with the Central Park scene from Kong, which is one of the most magical scenes I've ever seen in a movie.

I just happen to flip over and see that. I might actually watch part of the show tonight now
