Alas she has her heart set on the Norway princess dinner. I'm envisioning a lot of awkward conversation a hover-hand photos. The characters are quite used to visiting tables that are child-free. You would just engage them normally - they will remain in character, so playing along is encouraged.
It's also less awkward if you aren't at a face character dining location since Mickey and friends don't talk.
Since this is the catch-all, I have a question I've been meaning to ask all you regulars:
My gf recently surprised me by saying she wants to do character dinning on our next visit. We're a young couple with no kids (that I know of...) but I'm a grown-*** man. Is it terribly awkward? What do you say to a princess? Are you supposed to play along and say "oh, what a beautiful castle m'lady" or just talk frankly? I have no idea, these are the kind of things that keep me up at night.
Pigs in Space is back.
Because sometimes it's good to remember why we love WDW:

Dang, you beat me to it!!!@Mike S.....THIS is theme park related. Universal filed for new patents... Looks like Mario Kart and an Iron Man ride to me.

I think that's one simulator everyone here could get behind. It would also be a great choice for MSHI since it's so different from Spider-Man. @marni1971 and @WDW1974 have said we can expect an Avengers ride at IoA and if this is any clue I'd think guests are taking on the role of the Iron Legion, which sounds awesome
Also, sorry HKDL, but this is what I would call an "Iron Man Experience"
I'm not sure if I know what I'm looking at for the car one, though it seems cool, but I disagree on the Iron Man suit. To me it seems much more like the type of patent that was filed just for the idea but won't necessarily be used. It doesn't look very practical (or comfortable really) to me.Dang, you beat me to it!!!

I did say if it's any clue which it might not be. The description of the car one seems dead on for Mario Kart though, Double Dash specifically.I'm not sure if I know what I'm looking at for the car one, though it seems cool, but I disagree on the Iron Man suit. The Iron Man one would still be very cool though if it's actually done.
- Drift racers: A two-rider, car-based amusement racing attraction with the ability to simulate drifting sensations. Two passengers, which could be in time/points competition with another car, will have control over some aspect of their ride vehicle: The driver would have a steering wheel and an acceleration and brake pedal to control the turning/drifting of the vehicle and speed; the rear passenger would have a control interface with buttons that could control the vehicle or bounce the ride vehicle, provide a boost to the vehicle during the race or affect the performance of another ride vehicle on the track, said the patent. For any Nintendo fan, that description brings to mind the video game company's popular Mario Kart game series. In one version of the series, called Mario Kart: Double Dash, each car had two racers including a driver and a rear passenger that controlled the use of items during the race that could impact their car or others in the race.
Well well...

"It's over there by Harry Potter."I'm picturing guests asking CM's in the swamps 'Where's the Avengers/Iron Man ride?'
That's a bummer. When was this on the table? That would have been a beautiful land.#TBT to when Mysterious Island was almost greenlit for DAK. Simpler times
And more live action movies on the way. Maleficent made good money.Watching Maleficent on SyFy out of curiosity. Wow this is bad.
