I agreed with most of this, but a handful of other observations.
I'm a casual Star Wars fan and immediately recognize Tarkin as being a CG character. Having said that, they did a good job with bringing back necessary people in CG.

I didn't think the character development was really there in this movie and a confusing component was Riz Ahmed's psuedo brain washing seemed to be largely unnecessary and nothing more than a waste of time. Did I miss something?
I think that scene sets up Kassian (sp?) killing the messenger because he couldn't escape from the stormtroopers ie he knew too much.
FWIW I was fine with less character development and more focus on plot, my brother liked TFA better because of Rey and Finn.

Best part was the safety video with a delighted Stan Lee putting on his safety belt. LOL. It was entirely like Star Tours. They could have done a lot better.
I agree, it could have simply been a better attraction from the start. That said I can't really say I'm disappointed, as I mean we knew the whole time that it would essentially be another Star Tours, but Iron Man. So I think it's good for what it is.
I give Star Tours the leg up on it though with the C3PO animatronic.

In other news regarding parks..
The Circle Du Soleil theme park area in my town (NuevoVallarta, Mexico) went vertical 2 months ago. They are now on the third floor on heavy concrete structures.

I hope Iger is thanking his good fortune in securing Alan Horn as well as inheriting Kevin Feige, Kathleen Kennedy and John Lasseter.
Fortune nor inheritance has anything to do with the success. Iger bought all of these and their studios, pampered them, and set them up to thrive.

Iger is beating Eisner at his own game, at what Eisner most excelled in: running movie studios.

Eh... The Good Dinosaur was a bit of a recent misstep. There were rumors of production turmoil. It has the lowest reviews of Pixar Movies save Cars 2. It's box office take was less than cost of production plus advertising. But other than that, Pixar has been stellar.

It was stated on here that other Disney films pretty much took Good Dinosaurs advertising budget (can't remember which ones were out around same time). Anyway it was a good film....and 77% on Rotten Tomatoes might not be Pixars greatest, but it's far from a misfire.

It was fine but they could have cut half of the journey the two took and made it into a Pixar Short and called it a day. The beginning and end were fine.

That's dependent on what is more important to you, Money or Legacy. Eisner excelled at making the company known for its accolades in addition to providing tons of revenue in both live action and animation through the use of its multiple divisions. They moved away from that and have been settling for two awards such as animation and song when back in the day, they were getting best picture nominations for their animated films which is a even larger accomplishment. Also, under the Iger era have many of the films are instant original classics? Besides Frozen and maybe Zootopia, there isn't much that is Disney based nor has Pixar lately, Marvel and Star Wars sure but that's thinking that the superhero films will surpass the test of time which as history shows, superhero films really rarely do.

To be fair.. Only three animated films in history have ever been nominated for best picture, and two of those were under Iger(Up and Toy Story 3). The third, Beauty and the Beast was released at a time when there was no best animated film category.
