Then I guess Wall.E is perfect for DAK. Wall.E is pretty heavy on the conservation message. And there is a cockroach AND a plant. I believe it was a pizza plant.

Nice strawman argument. No, I don't think a movie where earth is a post-apocalyptic wasteland is a good fit for DAK. Especially since there aren't any animals, fictional or otherwise, in the film.

Still waiting to hear why Indy fits into DAK in any way.

Or they could keep Indy where it belongs, on the West Coast uncloned in America, and redo dinosaur to be a far better Dinosaur based attraction.... Just a thought.

Hit the like button so hard I could have damaged my screen. That said there's no place for your logical thinking here.

Maybe some IPs don't belong in the theme park setting?

There goes my hopes for sausage party land.

On the upside, Avatar's so derivative that it wouldn't be too hard to convert Pandora into a regular fantasy creature setting. Beastly Kingdom stuff through the lens of 70s-80s rock album covers and pulpy fantasy books could be great.

More like through the lens of a Burning Man attendee.

Here's the Paper that is supposed to sell the legislative council on the Hong Kong Proposal:
http://www.legco.gov.hk/yr16-17/english/panels/edev/papers/edev20161128cb4-154-2-e.pdf

Mostly stuff we knew... Frozen Ever After in "Hand Carved Boats," the Luigi/aqutopia style ride, and immersive Marvel Land with all sorts of new experiences.

One thing that caught my eye that hadn't been in any of the press materials was this: "Reimagining Project-In 2021, Hong Kong Disneyland will unveil a brand new experience for guests at a reimagined attraction. Details of the reimagined attraction and the technologies that will be incorporated into the guest experience will be announced at a later date."

There aren't many attractions at Hong Kong Disneyland. The only ones that it could be are like Winnie the Pooh, Jungle Cruise, It's a Small World, and Space Mountain. It might be a new FotLK or stage show, but with Moana and the Castle show going in that seems unlikely.

If I had to bet, Space Mountain looks like it could go. It's already operating with a Star Wars Overlay. Finish the destruction of TL by knocking out the last vestige of non Marvel. Slap on a space Marvel IP, and you're solid.

They could also be doing a GotG overlay of flying Saucers, but that seems more unlikely... ;)

There's also interesting budget and spending info in their too, along with some other performance. Worth looking at...

I bet it's GotG in Space Mountain. Kind of sad how HK is fully changing over Tomorrowland to IP though the writing has been on the wall for a long time all around the world, even with Shanghai.

Off topic, but I know DL is rumored to get Star Wars Fireworks. Is that supposed to come after the holidays? Spring Break? Summer? Hope we're not stuck with Fantasy in the Sky until summer.

I get the former World's Fair pavilions on those grounds alone but Space Mountain?
I like the idea of non-IP based futuristic attractions in Epcot with the IP driven attractions in Tomorrowland. With Space Mountain, I'd like to see it redone as part of a larger space pavilion.

Hyperspace Mountain becoming a permanent overlay makes a little more sense to me then going full Marvel. Particularly when they've incorporated the Star Wars meet and greet into the mountain. That way, you have both of the Sci-Fi franchises that Disney actually cares about being the sole focus of Tomorrowland.
