A Terror-rific Spirited 13th (ToT fans have lots to fear)...

Anyone who knows Spirit personally knows he's not a bully.
I don't know him personally but I do enjoy his insight. He appears to have a passion for the parks and feels ed on, like a lot of others, with the direction they've taken. He misses the HK thing and suddenly it's "crucify Spirit day" by a few here. He owned up to missing that one. But you know the perps that are ridiculing him today will be the first to run with the next bit of info he shares.

Insiders are allowed to miss stuff occasionally. If I remember correctly they were just as blindsided by Avatar as we normal folks were.

I don't know him personally but just from his posts on here he seems to be a genuinely nice guy. He can be snarky but that's like seasoning on food to use a weird analogy. Optional, probably doesn't add much in the grand scheme of things but some people like it and it gives a different taste to the overall thing.

I don't have a horse this particular race - but to tag along with this I've had some conversations with him long ago in the past in PMs, looking back - I do respect him and appreciate his efforts here (even helped us with something years ago which I still remember and won't forget)

A sometimes "brash" online personality might be a better word than bully. Personally, I think it's a little much at times - but you're wasting effort if you think it's going to change because it isn't. It's his style, and you just gotta accept it. And if you don't like it, then don't read it? But since @WDW1974 's threads generate some of the most viewed threads in the forum's history - it can't be that much of a deal-breaker.

Nah, it's still a really dumb move.

Hopefully the BoD and HK SAR demand the LPS ride since none of this has been approved yet.

Hong Kong seems to be in the same boat as us WDW Frozen fans. Just add a sleigh ride.

I finally saw the video. By plus I meant extend and add scenes... which would really mean not a clone, so I guess the point is moot. She certainly described it scene for scene. I at least see the logic of avoiding an LPS due to Tokyo, Mystic Manor and potentially the other ride, but not a clone of Frozstrom.

The show building is definitely bigger though than what Norway has. I'd say that's for added queue space, but it still looks like the castle is also going to be queue space (unless it's a M&G). It just seems a bit out of character for HK to accept Florida's leftovers.

As per the sleigh ride, someone said Mater's... but it looks and sounded like Luigi's to me.

HK: We want a new castle!
Disney: Uh... How about your old castle with a new castle behind it?
HK: That's... fair. Weird but fair. Deal. How about a Frozen ride?
Disney: Alright. We have some plans here that we were planning for Tok--
HK: Actually... how about that one in Florida?
Disney: ...the overlay?
HK: Yes. That will be sufficient.
Disney: Well... If you say so. Coming right up.

Maybe Frostrom has expanded capacity? I agree on the sleigh ride. Also from the video it seems they're getting an Avengers E Ticket in 2023. Any bets on when Universal gets theirs done?

What kind of seasoning goes on the "No. 69: Egg Foo Young" special.....out of curiosity?

Not to come to 74's defense but the castle is being built onto not replaced. The existing castle is staying.
technically the castle walls will be maintained but the main part will be demolished and expanded upwards.
So, doesnt this count as "replacement"? or does it count as "overlay" ?

Probably sooner. The timing on Avengers does not bother me. In nearly every other circumstance I would be rolling my eyes. But finally, one out of twelve Disney parks has entered an actual healthy investment cycle. I don't mind a reasonable road-map with semi-subtantial attractions every few years. Even if one of those is 6 years out and they are telling us too early, it's by far not the only thing on the roadmap.

They can actually do that because they are the only park to add multiple E-tickets in the last decade. Every other park is so abused that they need to shut half of it down for 5 years to fix it. That's when the slow pace is infuriating. I wish all parks would get on HKDL's investment cycle, but sadly most of them still haven't had their five year shut-down yet.

I don't know if we can really count Frozen per-say, but Hong Kong will have added 4-5 new E-tickets plus tons of extra attractions over 10 years. A claim only Universal Parks can make otherwise. Same reason it's not really that upsetting that Nintendo will take 5-6 years in Orlando.

If Frostrom doesn't have added capacity, someone deserves to be fired. At least it is in the right place...

Semantics don't even matter as it's clear what the original intent of the argument was: whether the castle would be changed in any significant way, whether by way of demolition or addition

I imagine Bob ordered a crap ton of Extenze, wasn't pleased, and shipped it to Hong Kong.

When you look at this closely and can see Sleeping Beauty Castle sitting there piggy-backing a behemoth, the whole premise becomes grotesque.

Be happy with what you're born with and win them with quality. That's what my pediatrician told me at my pre-college physical.
