About 20 years of neglect and nothing new but ticketed events and new restaurant.

I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that they could start putting in hard-ticket nighttime up-charge events, particularly if they can come up with some kewl new RoL "special event" in a year or so. No fireworks, of course.

The more I think about it, the more I fear more nighttime up-charge events in each park. That would accomplish the goal of being able to sell the theme parks twice per day instead of just once. Milk that cow, milk that cow...

Something I posted in a different thread but it's really more appropriate here: Where in the blue blazes does The Weatherman get off calling the new addition "lands", particularly "Toy Story Land"?? 2 attractions a land does not make.

Star wars has two rides and is called a land. Carsland has three. Avatar has two. Pretty much every "new land" is in that 2-3 attraction range.

Maybe not in the past but now it does apparently. And Toy Story Land will have three rides ;) One we've just had for 10 years ... and why does TSMM not get more overlays? This ride could be updated so often and yet they don't bother because they don't have to.

I think you answered your own question. ;) I would think it would be incredibly easy to have seasonal overlays on TSMM, but that would mean TDO would have to try, or care.

And we know they really don't. They're just about forced into everything they do and they try and cut it as much as possible. This, a company that COULD build a new e-ticket every year if they wanted to. For parks to be SO restricted by a budget makes me laugh. Everyone needs a budget but TDO needs an overhaul.

The great majority of places serve their ewok way, wayyyy overcooked. Me? I’ll take the classic lightsaber cut, moderate marbling, medium to medium rare (if it’s quality, farm raised ewok) and a big pat of Bespin Butter™. Does it get any better than that?

You do have to be careful with lesser grades of meat though. Ordered some rare bantha one time, one of these Ceviche places, must have been a bit off. 15 minutes later I felt the first stomach rumble.

Now that stuff will help you make the Kessel Run in less than 12 Parsecs if you know what I mean.

I find soaking it in blue milk helps remove some of the gaminess.

I could not agree more. Even a new E-ticket every other year would be good, instead of one every decade+. This from a company whose theme parks division has been raking in $1-3 billion in PROFIT every fiscal year for the past 7-8 years.

Isn't that the hallmark of a well-run company, milking the **** out of guests in one division in order to cover up the failings of multiple other divisions?

I know they did after Toy Story 3 came out (added Trixie, got rid of Bo Peep), but with the focus on Woody & Buzz going on a search for Bo in Toy Story 4, they could always bring her back to TSMM.

Um that 1-3 billion in profit is Per Quarter not per year - which of course makes the case you state even worse... Hey but the parks do fund an awesome share repurchase program...

Is the Parks & Resort division the big money making now instead of ESPN? Oh, I forgot about the Disney films and all of the products they can sell from them.

P&R currently is second in production of Spendable Cash, Media networks is still #1 but ESPN is pulling that down,

Remember Disney charges a huge nut for each subscriber and the Disney properties are sold as a 'bundle' to the cableco's How long that continues is an interesting question.

It seems to be more about two great rides -- across the board.

Cars land has a super-headliner and two flat rides. On account of flat rides not being E-tickets, and that RSR is sooo good you could say there are the equivalent of two true rides.

Avatar has 1 E-ticket and 1 D-ticket, but the land itself has so much stuff to look at. So again you have two rides.

Star Wars will obviously have two E-tickets, so two rides.

Harry Potter's Hogsmeade has a Super-Headliner (FJ), a (sort of a flat ride as it is mind boggling short) Flight of the Hippogriff, and then on the east coast obviously the Hogwart's Express & Dragon Challenge. But since one of them is a transportation ride & the other is a bare coaster you could equate the land to having two true rides.

Literally every new Land is pretty much the same in terms of ride content.

I'm saying like splicing flat rides to become the equivalent of a ride etc.

It is him, it's a confirmed account.

Well, it's a done deal that DI$ is buying Twitter, then. :p I can't imagine the tweets that his handlers must read thru...

Disney does love those 'catch a falling knife' companies, Jack Dorsey will walk off with a 20 Billion kiss and Twitter will be as well integrated as was GO http://www.go.com Then Disney will double down on stupid and ban Trump whether you like him or Loathe him he does tend to take a rocket launcher to a knife fight... If this happens Disney will for the first time feel what life is like when the US Govt has a score to settle with you.
