Yes it was an upgrade. Nescafe dishwater :joyfull: but such an accurate statement. I like Joffreys too but I usually stick to the iced or frozen cappuccino from them

I like the DHS one and the AK one is nice too. I don't care much for the Epcot one but I suppose it fits fine. I have to admit I almost never stepped foot in Main Street Bakery before it was Starbucks so I don't know what they did to the inside. I think it blends well for the most part. Can anyone point me to before and afters?

It's definitely much more organized now and capable of handling larger crowds when ordering. The downside is losing the indoor seating. Overall, it looks pretty classy and fits in fine still. The Starbucks signs outside aren't too intrusive either IMHO.

My favorite, which I have seen a couple times, is a Target with a Starbucks inside the store and a Starbucks in the parking lot.
We have a small mall near my office with about 25 stores including a Starbucks plus there's a Starbucks in the Barnes and Noble too. Literally about 7 or 8 storefronts apart.

THANK YOU! I like the look better of the new Bakery but I liked the tables from the old one. That was definitely a loss. I don't love the massive queue inside but it serves it's purpose.

Speaking of opening day rides.....We were on the Jungle Cruise last Friday, and the entire Rhino was missing from the 'expedition members trapped up the pole' scene. Sort of made sense with several hyenas off to one side. Guess the rhino broke down?

Rhino's been missing for months and months, apparently sitting backstage behind Splash. Doesn't sound like anything's been done to it but who knows? Maybe waiting on a part for 5 months? LOL

Both are too large for their setting, a problem with most of Main Street, USA at the Magic Kingdom.

I think the queue is necessary now. The old setup would have been a train wreck if they just added Starbucks. It doesn't feel as quaint or old fashion as the old bakery, it's almost too nice. The seating was nice, but there's limited space in that location and they needed to expand so it was a necessary loss if they had to have Starbucks in that location.

What they did to DL's Market House was much worse.

WOW... honestly IMO the Starbucks install at WDW dose not look so bad and may even be an improvement to some degree however the seating being removed is a negative. The DL Starbucks addition on the other hand... from the pictures I am not a fan. The space looks dark and cluttered. From what I can see the dark colors work in the bookstore seating area but definitely not in the main ordering space.

The Starbucks looks great..I love that there is better coffee I really do, but it is sad we had to lose the bakery to do this. No, the cinnamon Rolls are completely different and probably baked offsite...The other offerings are gone too, replaced with Starbucks frozen mass produced stuff we can buy anywhere USA.... So Great to have good coffee, and really sad to lose something that was sort of iconic and part of the fabric of Main Street... They could have put Starbucks into the old Cinema and Gift Shop next door to the Candy Store... making one side of Main Street gift items, and one side food options...

This looks like it could be a little longer than Frozen Fever (that was about 7 minutes long). I'm just happy that they've included St. Lucia.

Someone made an interesting point in the YouTube comments (something I wasn't sure I'd ever say, tbh). This would be the first non-Pixar short before a Pixar film, unless Pixar will also have a short film immediately before Coco.

It's hysterical to me that Anna's first line in this trailer is asking "Do we have any traditions?" what with how Frozen Ever After has absolutely nothing to do with the supposed Norwegian roots of the franchise

Like I said, I'm just happy they included St. Lucia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Lucy's_Day#Norway

The inclusion of Judaism is a bit odd since Norway banned the religion until well into the 19th century (then again, I have no idea when Frozen is supposed to take place, but I'm assuming by the clothing that it's somewhere in the 1800s).

Can someone explain to me why Frozen doesn't fit in Norway at Epcot? I'm absolutely no Frozen expert, but doesn't the movie take place in Norway?

Might be a reference that Olaf's voice actor Josh Gad is Jewish.

Because the Frozen universe which based on Norway is a fictionalized version of it. I would rather have a Disney IP that is actually set in the actual country than a fictionalized version like Arendelle.

I suspect Starbucks would have been happy to keep selling the iconic bakery items but as usual this was more about shedding workforce and collecting rent for a space Disney once operated so eliminating the unique treats at the bakery was a 'no brainer' to mall management sorry that's TDO.

But for me at least it's an aggregation of little stuff which made us stop visiting WDW. Sharing cinnamon rolls in the morning or during the mid afternoon parade (as in reality a single roll fed at least 2 people). The transmutation of the 'Tonga Toast' into something else which is Named Tonga Toast but probably comes in 1 gross cartons of frozen product. The ice cream cookie sandwich, Dozens of others Disney was always about sweating the small stuff take that away and what do you have ????
