The best Disney parks in the world are sadly not owned nor run by TWDC. Save your money and go ... you can leave the swamp behind, you really don't need a Trader's Sam's tiki mug (and if you do, I'm sure some Lifestyler will sell you one at a 'small' profit), and there isn't anything new there. @WDWFigment can give you advice as well on how to save money on your Japan travels. Oh yeah, that's a bonus too. When you decide you are done with TDR, you get to explore an amazing world class city ... as opposed to O-Town, which is ... which is ...

You can start your savings with this fun fact.

you have to think of the film in a broadway musical sense.... not a standalone movie. I liked it.... but if I compare it to Enchanted, then it loses.
I honestly found some parts outrageously stupid in that movie, others very funny, other boring, and others annoying.
the prince parts specially was mostly annoying.

why would they lock their daughters?
better teach the kids to respect women and girls.

I think one of the best examples is the deleted scenes of Anakin and Padme from AOTC. Those scenes did a better job of showing their blossoming love and chemistry than the ones that made it into the movie. It is like Lucas didn't even know how to pick the right scenes to use in the film. Ewan McGregor is about the only good thing about the prequels. How he was able to get an awful performance out of Natalie Portman when she has been great in so many films is beyond me.
even the biggest stars will struggle with carp quality scene writing.

I will have to assume you're correct, IMO it can only be better than the movie.
One of the earliest dvd's released was a recording of the original Broadway cast, originally broadcasted on PBS. This was back when dvd's were $30-$50. Probably can find it if you look hard enough or are curious, but you are correct in your assumptions.

It's currently back in print on blu-ray, but it's not really HD (just upscaled).

The complete opposite of the cheap refurd WDW is getting. Rumors say it'll be a top quality E-Ticket. I think trackless too and maybe on Mystic Manor's level.

i mentioned this in the Frozen thread.... isnt it funny that OLC can get concept art out for an attraction planned for 2017, but nobody has seen any concept work for Norway at EPCOT. Odd also that Dr Blondie or the crew at Celebration Place havent reported this yet... like it was a surprise, or maybe they are trying to spin it to play it down that WDW gets short changed on New Fantasyland and its Arrendelle offering.

It's nice to know that it will not be completely Frozen-dominated and will instead take an approach similar to Arabian Coast (where Aladdin is not the only inspiration). It looks like the Arendelle castle is possibly hosting a restaurant or M&G, while the larger mountain structure with ice castle in the background is for the huge E-ticket.

I hear they're planning to build a boat ride in the Scandinavian section with the working title 'Maelstrom'. Where do those crazy Japanese get their ideas!
