Energy does have a small issue underneath part of the building. A pump continuously looks after it.

Well here's a strange rumor. I have no idea how credible it is but I thought it would be worth discussing. Nintendo has apparently made several deals with Disney, including films, but only Wreck It Ralph 2 is mentioned.

Wreck it Ralph 2 was only speculation on the part of the author. Given Rich Moore's involvement with "Zootopia", I'm not sure we're going to see another WIR.

Not to knock your source, but one would think one who worked maintenance on the building would be very credible. Even if it wasn't a sinkhole, structural issues due to shifting foundations seems very plausible.

They would not have rebuilt on that EXACT plot if that was the case. It also wouldn't have stayed open as long as it did if the land was so unstable.
