A Spirited Perfect Ten

He has banned people for engaging in healthy discussions on numerous occasions. The most recent one being when he lost his cool when people very legitimately questioned Six Flags's new El Diablo rides should be considered roller coasters. Many people very calmly discussed this, with some people pointing to dishonesty in the marketing campaigns and setting a bad precedent for the future of coaster investments from parks. He killed the conversation, blamed everyone for ruining the fun, and banned them for speaking out against Six Flags.

He doesn't want a community of theme park and coaster enthusiasts. He wants likes, upvotes, and positive metrics to sell his site to parks. He wants minions and yes men to further his agenda.

That could explain the censorship, but not his terrible attitude.
I ran into Alvey once in person and he was reasonably cordial.
Since then, he's been exceedingly rude to me online on multiple occasions.
If we ever should meet again in person he's going to get a piece of my mind.

Robb Alvey from ThemeParkReview. His page and POV videos would be generally considered elite within the theme park and enthusiast community if it weren't for the fact that he treats people like absolute garbage online.

Is he the guy that has all of the coaster videos from around the world and won't shut up for two seconds while riding? The videos are neat but man he is annoying. He is also quick on the delete button on Facebook.

I really enjoyed Jurassic World and Tomorrowland. I honestly can't fathom the heat some folks are throwing at them. Or it's just my taste in movies...

Been thinking about Tomorrowland, and how though I really liked it, it could have been better. What I would have done....trilogy.

Film one...the story of the ingenious kid, his jet pack, his quest to get to the Worlds Fair and ending with his discovery of Tomorrowland.

Film two...the actual story of Tomorrowland, Walt, Plus Ultra, etc. And then show what happened to it.

Film three...everything from the one we actually got, excluding the boy/jetpack/Fair.

There was a great story to be told there...but condensing it to one film crippled it.

I should totally have a job in Hollywood....
Miniseries?

Yep...I go there from time to time and have had a number of warnings but no ban yet. There are some reasonable people there, and their Universal boards are pretty decent. Realize most of it is for information and people planning trips, stuff we don't get into as much here from what I can see.

Oh, I also got temporarily banned from Theme Park Review recently for saying some things against the current state of WDW, certainly feel that TPR has gone downhill since they started shilling everything Disney does as positive (I think they've been added to Disney's social media PR Army)
That's why I stick to Disney Theme Park channels such as MouseSteps and Dizney Coast To Coast.

Join me, together we can rule the galaxy.
I just wanted to pass this along as I was told something very interesting and to start with it doesn't come from any business associate of mine, rather an odd circumstance. I know that there was an April Fool's joke floating around about Pepsi replacing Coca-Cola at the Parks and Resorts and this is not based on that.... but apparently that isn't far off according to this individual. She is stating that an agreement will be announced that Pepsi will be replacing Coca-Cola in the theme parks beginning next calendar year. The source of this information is a high-level executive in Park and Resorts. I know that PepsiCo made an agreement with the company for the Shanghai property last year. Take it for what it's worth. It's not a contact of mine, but this individual is completely in the loop of these top decisions. We'll see.

This would be the last year I purchase a soft drink from WDW then...

Can someone explain to me the problem with Theme Parks Review and how it's gone downhill over the year?

That same repetitive plot where the dinosaurs are the heroes?

The movie would have been better if the dinosaurs had killed all the actors 15 minutes into the movie. It was that boring and bad. The dude in the JP shirt is this movies Jar Jar Binks. Only less interesting. It was that bad. But the nostalgia factor will lead to it making money even though it's a suck fest.

He is. He gets invites for all media days and he was proud to brag about how he saw the New Fantasyland media day Dragon flight. For a man who used to rave about Tokyo Disney so much, he has gone very quiet about that and is now all about shoving WDW down his minions throats.
What ever happened to the Dragon anyway?

Looks like another thing is closing down at DHS soon.

From WDWT:

"If what we are hearing is true, the Magic of Disney Animation will close in a few weeks time, leaving the park without the “Mushu film”, Animation Academy, and the character meet and greets that currently are hosted in the space. The Incredibles meet and greet already moved out a few weeks back, being replaced in the budget by Doc McStuffins who now meets outside of Disney Junior: Live on Stage."
Can anyone confirm/deny this?

I will certainly give you that the kids (especially the older one) weren't great actors. I also had higher expectations for Sgt. Pyle, but he didn't ruin it for me. I did feel that Pratt was excellent.

Pratt has the best vision in the land of the blind. He's the tallest man in munchkin land. And he was the best actor in the worst 2015 summer movie other than Pixels.
