But still... say 5% of the daily attendance is made up of cast & maingates (2650). Thats statistically insignificant in a crowd of 53000.
While I'm not in any way disagreeing with your criticism of Disney locking down MK for CM's the whole summer, I do want to point out that 5% is considered significant in many statistical models. You better believe if my evil insurance company saw a 5% change in sales in a month, I'm going to dig into the data to find out why.

Yes, in your context yes. If financial revenues are off by 5%, someone's losing a job.

In this context, I'm discussing in a crowd of 53000 people, 5% will not push that over the edge. Its just more people in the park to buy souvenirs, food, etc.

Assuming the blackout days hold true for the rest of the month, MK will have had more than 50% blackout days for the year. Ridiculous. Throw in Christmas, holidays and the rest of the summer and it looks like its going to be close to 50% for the whole year; we'll have to see how that plays out.

Just got some news from a relative who works at Bioware Austin about the Star Wars MMO's they develop. Apparently Disney is getting involved in where the game is headed and are taking a much bigger look at what that game can possibly do for them in terms of long term money making potential. Lucas, while not one to give people free reign was not as aggressive as Disney is being now. Some are speculating about the importance of the SW license being put to good use and providing customer value in the wake of the new films being released and Disney wants to maximize profits.

I heard he mentions his faith and his goals in a recent interview. Not a good mix, to 'come-out' as a conservative in Hollywood, is it? That being said, I find it refreshing this young father has things in perspective. I wish him nothing but the best!
The thing is, I don't really know if he's conservative. He very well might be, but all I've seen is conservative outlets taking his statements on his faith, gun ownership, patriotism, love for family, charity and work ethic as proof of his conservative credentials.

I want to know when conservatives got a monopoly on those values and how liberals became God and country-hating fascists. Its absolutely ridiculous.

In the end, it doesn't really matter. If there's one thing "Liberal Hollywood" cares about, it's money. Considering Chris was the #1 earning actor last year and well on his way this year, he will continue to get prime gigs regardless of his political affiliation.

Personally, while I consider myself slightly left-of-center, he could be right of Gengis Kahn and it wouldn't change my opinion of him as an actor or person. Anyone who makes a decision to consume (or refrain from) entertainment based on an entertainer's political views is an idiot, IMO.

You cant really completely block out news online (since mirrors can come up anywhere).
Anyone can copy the news.

The point is that it was gone from the huff. And they added an excuse that they later removed.
No. The point was not that the article was gone from the HuffPo. The point was that according to WDW1974, Willow Bay in a conspiracy with Bob Iger had the article removed from the HuffPo.
Yet, now according to WDW74:
No. First, there is no conspiracy. Theory or otherwise. That's just an ignorant throwaway tossed out to see what will stick by some here.
The Spirit is an intelligent person and knows the meaning of the word conspiracy. He directly alleged that Bob Iger and Willow Bay conspired to have the Gary Snyder article removed from the HuffPo. It's a direct manipulation of the facts to suit his story.

Good grief, this is really an argument? Seriously? The spirit obsession is way beyond petty, imo. I mean, how many arguments can you have about the way a poster uses a word. I mean, dude... This is what it's come to?

Yeah, it's getting incredible reviews. I'm actually kind of shocked as I thought this would be a weaker Pixar film from the teasers. Let's see what the box office is as it could green light it into an EPCOT attraction.

Look at me, being optimistic :D
I can hear the meeting in Burbank. "How about we rip out Figment and put in these "Inside Out" thingies? Just need a few screens. That and Frozen ride we bump the Epcot head count like mad..........

That's promising. The new expansion announced earlier this week seems interesting...the trailer for it seemed expensive, so I wondered if maybe Disney had stepped in to make sure things were on the right track. It's a fun game. Profitable as well. Now, if only Bioware can convince Disney to make an Old Republic movie.

Also...where's our Star Wars Land announcement?!

As do I. I understand there are recreational activities at WDW, but 2-3 WEEKS? What are guests doing that entire time? I'd really love to know because I can't fathom the idea. Seriously, for those who spend 2-3 weeks solely at WDW, how do you spend your time? I'm curious.

The way you feel about the Everglades is the way I feel about Hollywood. I recommend tourists go there because there are some pretty neat things to see, but it's not on my list of top favorite hangout spots.

I am going for two weeks. Most of the time will be at WDW with 2-3 days at Universal, a Day of shopping (lord help me and my wallet) Days at the pool, waterparks, time watching the animals outside our room, relaxing with our friends and family, going on rides, spending evenings in EPCOT, over at the boardwalk, watching fireworks, etc. We see some of our family once every couple of years and have some first timers and kids so to me 2 weeks isn't really overkill when you are in a place you really enjoy and a place where you can relax and be yourself and laugh and cry.

Now if I were as angry or upset or PO'd as some people here are, I wouldn't spend my time in Disney at all. I would take a cruise and spend a couple days before or after at Universal as I have in the past or go to an island for a week or fly over to Europe. I really don't get why people continue to go if they dislike WDW so much. I dont think I could sit around on the net and complain about how far downhill the place has gone and continue to spend my money there. I dont buy clothes at Old Navy because i know i will get a couple washes out of them at most. I don't eat at McDonalds anymore because the food tastes horrible to me.

Ok, this is one of two things:

One: Hotel rooms (most likely)

Two: Something bigger. In other words........

It deserves it.

Certain trolls in this forum get unhappy when they don't get enough attention… some people always have to make it about themselves.

I could see that too. Meanwhile WoL, probably the most perfect spot for Inside Out in any Disney park (Cranium Command), would continue to be used solely for events :banghead:

Unfortunately… None of our bothan spies have even come across anything that suggests it really could happen…

Nobody has heard anything other than one random obscure post by somebody I never heard of before… all of the usual suspects say it's not being discussed.
