A Spirited Perfect Ten

That's what my family has slowly been doing over the last two years. We'll give Disney a day or two, sometimes three depending on who chooses to come with us. But, the remainder of our week is spent doing things in the area we've never done before or revisiting favorites.
I know it's not in the area, but anyone traveling to Florida should visit St. Augustine at least once in their life.

One of the first assertions was that Bob Iger influenced his wife (Willow Bay) to censor an article critical of the Disney CEO's entry to China. "Censorship" was the word used most often by WDW1974. Yet that article is still available: http://yourfinancialnews.net/business/disney-ceo-fumbles-entry-to-china/ A conspiracy involves two or more persons in an evil surreptitious plan to cause some sort of subversion or plot. So yes indeed, he did allege that a conspiracy was afoot.

He also predicted that as a direct result of said censorship that Willow Bay would resign her position as director of USC Annenberg School of Journalism within a matter of weeks or months at the most. He made that prediction over three months ago.

In reality, he was really rumor mongering and engaging in wishful thinking. And now he wants to backtrack and say he never alleged any sort of conspiracy.
You cant really completely block out news online (since mirrors can come up anywhere).
Anyone can copy the news.

The point is that it was gone from the huff. And they added an excuse that they later removed.

Spirited Jurassic Musings:

The other big takeaway is that Chris Pratt, who I've always felt had breakout star potential, is going to be making just HUGE money now every time he signs on the line. Between Guardians last summer and JW this summer, he just has the look of a rising mega-star. And from what I've been told, he really is a great guy, which makes it all the better.
I heard he mentions his faith and his goals in a recent interview. Not a good mix, to 'come-out' as a conservative in Hollywood, is it? That being said, I find it refreshing this young father has things in perspective. I wish him nothing but the best!

Thank you.

Today's ethics is how to do something that in any other age was considered to be unethical, but now it's taking a team to exploit a loophole and as long as they've navigated things "legally" then it's fine. I don't know how so many of these people sleep at night.
probably because the majority of these leaders have severe lack of empathy..
they are psychopaths with fine clothing and Pr crisis control experts coaching them to at least look barely human.

Obviously interests matter. I'm saying I myself don't understand why anyone would travel to certain states just to see one thing. I like to explore, so I personally don't see the fun in just visiting one place, but I understand the significance. In saying that, i find it hard to believe one couldn't visit California without finding at least one thing to do besides Disneyland.
It's a tough one as we made the trek to Orlando just to spend 9 days at WDW. That was all the time and money we had so we dedicated it to a visit there and quite honestly, had no desire to venture anywhere else. WDW in and of itself "feels" like much more of a long term vacation destination than DL does IMO. The thing you have to remember is that there are some families that save money for years just to make the trip to DL. It's easy for us, as locals, to say that there is so much more to see but Disneyland is an American Icon so I can easily see folks putting all there eggs in that basket if it's their first and possibly only trip to the original Magic Kingdom.

Most Americans subscribe to one religion or another (including self-titled liberals). Unless he said something blatantly anti-gay or similar, I doubt his popularity will drop anytime soon.

As do I. I understand there are recreational activities at WDW, but 2-3 WEEKS? What are guests doing that entire time? I'd really love to know because I can't fathom the idea. Seriously, for those who spend 2-3 weeks solely at WDW, how do you spend your time? I'm curious.

The way you feel about the Everglades is the way I feel about Hollywood. I recommend tourists go there because there are some pretty neat things to see, but it's not on my list of top favorite hangout spots.

When we first started going to WDW, we were flying from Washington, so we'd stay 10-14 days.

2 days for each theme park = 6 or 8 (first time there were only the 3)
1 day each water park = 2-3 ( 1st couple times we were doing this, there were 3),
Tour day (we did the Backstage Magic, Backstage Safari, Train Tour and my parents did a couple others when they came without us),
Downtown Disney day,
Shopping with a car day (since my Mom worked at the Disney Store, it was exiting to be able to go backstage and visit all the CM stores...so one day we'd rent a car, visit all of them, including the one in Central Reservations off I-Drive)
And we found some time to swim
And we'd visit each of the hotels, in order to collect the pressed coins.

If we had 3 weeks, we probably would have sprinkled in some "off-days" when we could just sleep in and hang out at the resort, because we were always on the go, always tired.

More recently, my 2-3 week trips to visit my parents would be

4 partial days at each park
2 full days at Universal
1 day Downtown Disney, with some resort hopping
1 day antiquing around Central Fl
1 day visiting our friend on the Space Coast
1 day visit to Florida Mall / Theme Park Connection ( I know :) but we mostly go for the ephemera and they know us, so we get good deals)

the rest, hanging out at the house, maybe pop down to WDW to go to Cast Connection (needed milk, eggs, or juice) or Company D at DU (someone needed a bank)

General popularity, probably not. A lot of people may now actually identify with him even more. I mean, who does not want to be a Scout leader, athletic coach, etc for their kids. He is a parent, thinking about what is most important to him, his family. Those kinds of thoughts may not play well with those in Hollyweird. People of Faith often share the same beliefs. The difference is, some are more vocal about it. I hope he keeps his eyes on the prize, regardless of what external pressures may come.
