Enjoy it until the end of the year. Star Wars will break those numbers.

That being said, I can't wait to see Jurassic World.

It was a great summer blockbuster and one that everyone that should see. It was not scary so kids ages 7 and up should be good seeing it! Star Wars is going to be huge my only concern is that it is opening in December around Holidays people are busy so it may miss the mark just because of release date.

They need to get a move on. No offense to Pratt but he won't always be young and in demand. Disney moves at such a glacial pace. I don't need a 55 year old Pratt just starting the new movies. LOL. That's if he's even still around Hollywood. He's shockingly normal and down to earth. He wants to move away from the limelight.
Well, not all stars started young.
see George Clooney.

It's about the fact that Bob Iger and Company has sold the Street on the idea that The Force Awakens will be the biggest film of all-time (until the next one). I'm just not all that sure.
I'm definitely not sold on this bold prediction. Granted, it's gonna make buckets of $$$$ no doubt, as to be expected from any film with the Star Wars name. But the biggest of all time? Opening only days before Christmas? Iger may have bitten off more than he can chew with that prophecy.

Just sent to me in the last 10 minutes, a very interesting read by a media pro in Shanghai.

It does completely make you understand why we can't even get a photo of Mickey Mouse on site at SDL, let alone Robert A. Iger or Thomas Staggs. Wait, though, if you happen to be heading to Shanghai, then there's a way for you to get a picture of yourself on the site with no connections needed. Enjoy:

You wouldn't find me posting photos of me breaking rules and trespassing while living in a police state that's for sure!

Agreed that the Christmas time opening could be a problem. On the other hand, I remember the ridiculous lines I was in when they rereleased the original trilogy and then again when the prequels came out, including packed theaters on weekday afternoons. If I were a betting man, I'd put my money on Star Wars to top JW.

I know the thought is that at 74,000 employees and 3 guest passes per person...it could get hairy.

But exactly when are all 74,000 of us going to show at MK at the same time? Literally never. Plus, anyone with a blue pass is limited to 16 times per year using their guest passes - total. So for them, it just makes it so that sign in happens in the "downtime."

For those of us who have no limit and can bring 3 guests in, anytime we aren't blacked out - it's trickier. Essentially my perk has been greatly reduced.
But even if just 1% came and brought in their 3 guests thats almost 3000 additional guests in the park. And not everyone is limited to just 3. Many cast members get more.

The only folks that get more are high level execs.

I have a salaried silver pass (next up would be an exec pass). The limit is 3. If you have dependents, it's you plus them, so at most add one or two more (and those are tied directly to the dependent).
I was referring to those that get more than 3 due to dependents. You'd be surprised how many people that applies to. Even without them we are still talking about potentially a few thousand non paying guests being added to an already crowded park. It sucks that Magic kingdom is blocked out so much more than in the past. But the parks average daily attendance was never what is now either.

We didn't go on vacation when I was growing up, as we couldn't afford to do so. But if we had, my mother would have done all the choosing and planning. Just as I do all of the planning. One week a year is with my husband's family, so I guess I don't choose that one - although I am the one who gets with them to make a decision on destination, not him. I am also the "tour guide" as my husband likes to say. I do all of the planning, even if he has determined the destination, such as a trip to Costa Rica a couple of years ago for a competition.

But going to WDW was never a major vacation due to proximity. I've gone with my children and without my husband more times than with him. So I don't know if I would have made a unilateral family decision to go there. ;)

We have no problem taking short solo trips to pursue our different interests; I travel a lot for my sports officiating, and he travels for his shooting competitions. I just recently spent a week helping my son get settled in a different state. I am now a 100% empty nester.

whats he shoot? Olympic?

The way I see it working is as a fully surrounding simulator. Think Star Tours but in a sphere.

ETA: this would have the added benefit of being able to be worked into a tighter space which is what would be needed for an E Ticket addition to JP.

As long as this guy is working the ride.

But still... say 5% of the daily attendance is made up of cast & maingates (2650). Thats statistically insignificant in a crowd of 53000.
