Can anyone succinctly summarize the Shanghai conspiracy theory? I get that something's generally "not quite right," but what and why?

No. First, there is no conspiracy. Theory or otherwise. That's just an ignorant throwaway tossed out to see what will stick by some here.

But if you don't understand after reading the hundreds of posts on the subject here, then it really just isn't worth your time to even worry about it. Not trying to be a smarta--... just being honest.

Disney paid off someone and Iger is inept.

Likely ... and quite likely!

Like I said, I get the "something's up" implications, I just haven't seen any DETAILS of what exactly you or anyone else think is happening and why.

I think by bringing Summer Fun LIVE! (Gotta make sure it says LIVE!) AGAIN this year, with less, is already pushing it in terms of Frozen. Enough. Move on. It worked last year. No one cares this year. It 100% reeks of desperation. I mean, sure it gives guests in the busy summertime a little something extra, but it's desperate. How about, you know, building things?

Desperate? As my beloved Sarah would say ''You betcha!!!''

But if you weren't there last summer or if you have brats who love the franchise (and they could be 31-year-old brats), then you'll love it.

But it is so weak. Really why not just host 'Tubing With Dr. Blondie'' meet-ups and cupcake parties every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday nights at Typhoon Lagoon all summer long for only $94 a person, including a photo with Cupcake and Olaf!

OK, let's say that the Disney CEO Fumbled his Company's Entry to China and has worked diligently to prevent people in financial and media circles from knowing just how bad things really have been and continue to be.

And it's happening because the CCP has little use for Disney beyond using its IP, which has been used as American propaganda for 80-plus years in the collective's opinion, to be Chinese propaganda. Disney has no power over there at all ... and that is really it. When you cut through it all ... that's it.

This resort, which I'm sure I'll enjoy, never should have been built. Bob made a HUGE miscalculation.

Why is Frozen fandom illegitimate? Do you feel the same way about people who love Nickel Mouse? What about The Lion King? Mary Poppins? Toy Story? What's the cutoff for scorn?

So you're saying the ChiComs are going to usurp SDL with no recourse available to TWDC?

The last time I saw Mr. Sarah was in Epcot too....

It was funny, we lived in the same area and the one time we met was in Club Cool. Sarah was there. So was my wife and both kids were drinking Beverly and enjoying it.

I have never met the MAGICal Brickers, but I fully expect that will change soon! I did see him once at EPCOT's 30th and would have gone over to him, but he was surrounded by scary Lifestylers (and wearing socks that I doubt were @TP2000 approved!)

I think that Tom and I will get along just fine once he gets that the Spirit may be me, but I am not the Spirit.

Also there's a method to my madness here. I personally believe they're screwing over the cast.

So earlier, in another thread, in 2000 there were Eight blackout days at the MK for maingates. Attendance was 14.7M. 15.4M. (Edit: Wrong Column)

In 2014 there were 153 blackout days vs 19.3M attendance. Thats a 25% rise in attendance vs an astronomical 1812% increase in Blackout days. Also, Capacity was added with the Fantasyland expansion. (Checking the math.... (y2-y1)/y1 .... (153-8)/8 ... Holy Cow!)

This brings us to the mystery 101 days of "average" days that were blacked out. Yes, the 38 peak days, no one can argue those (25%), tho there were the 14 days (9%) that had no business being blacked out. I'm really leaning towards saying No, they simply should not have. Its bordering on egregious behavior. I mean there's no way attendance rose that much to warrant this, especially with Capacity at 90k+ with the 2012 expansion.

The only thing that would tell us definitively is how much of the MK audience is maingated in. Basically the percentage of Daily Attendance that is a maingate. Simple average would do....

(Lurkers, feel free to reach out, Anonymity guaranteed - Everyone is a Bothan Spy)

Yes, they are screwing over the cast. Not a shock ...

But the dinos are calling me ... have a good night!!!

I really don't believe you can compare Florida to California, although if I were to visit Florida, I would visit not only WDW, but Miami and most likely the Everglades. California has a wealth of things to see and do, and visiting it solely for a theme park doesn't do the state justice, in my opinion.
If you're not interested in seeing them it doesn't really matter how many "super" things that California has... you still don't have a desire to see them.

I feel the same way as you, but, many obviously don't. There is way more to Florida then the everglades not to mention the fact that Florida doesn't have the propensity to move around near as often as California does. The point is not how many more or less things that there are to see in any given location, it is the desire of the public to see them that matters. If you don't want too, you just don't. I've been to California and when there I explored, on my own, and I'll be honest... it's a nice place, but, it really isn't any more of a big deal then anyplace else you might mention. Depends on one's individual interests.

Its easy to find Tom in the parks, just be there very late :) He was always nice to me whenever we crossed paths.

Sorry to break my fans' hearts, but I am checking out the dinos tonight on $6.50 movie night. (yes, I am cheap. I didn't becaome a Faux Top One Percenter by spending $80 on a night at the cineplex. Yes, I will smuggle in my own candy and not buy popcorn too!)

You must have read "The Millionaire Next Door". Stay cheap my friend. ;)
