A Spirited Dirty Dozen ...

Maybe I misunderstood somewhere, but I always thought that the Hollywood Tower Hotel was abandoned after the original "incident" in 1939, and the guests are touring it as it's about to be renovated? The story could be set any time after 1939, so I never thought it was incongruent with the more modern Hollywood stuff in DCA.
That's how I've always viewed it even in DHS with RnRC next door.

This money is IN ADDITION to the Netflix deal. $25m/year for TV and advertising based streaming seems like a decent deal on top of the $300 million per year Netflix deal (since streaming is the future). Source: CNBC and Forbes

If you had read those articles carefully that package is for NEW films starting in 2016 So they will get C:A Civil War and Rogue One but after that... Revenue is variable depending on how many customers actually stream the content.. Hence once again Disney made a poor deal.

Word is today is the last day the TOT sign will be up. Is it really necessary to start work on the front while it is still open? I thought the rumor was the back was getting work done first.

Netflix twitter is hinting at Rogue One still is reshoots as to why Ben Mendelsohn wasn't there tonight at the Emmys. Which if that is so doesn't that film come out in less than 3 months? What is Disney doing?
Hopefully not Disneyfine the film. Less scary, the good old tongue and cheek jokes - falling in line with Episode 4,5,6 and 7 theme and tone wise. I've always wanted to see Vader do some serious damage and probably will never that day come around. Wasn't there reports re scoring the music? Or Netflix is ed that Turner got the rights to the movies in 2018. I wonder if Tarkin will be in it or not. I believe it would be less than three months.

Maybe he had bad fish?

I'm just trying to think of something outrageous to say that will get Disney Twinker's panties in a bunch.....

Just came back from the swamps.

Will comment on other things when I have more time, but as far as Cleanliness goes:

A degree of improvement. Fluids on the bathroom floors are now occasionally being tended to (as opposed to, not at all). Twice I saw custodial staff 'mopping' the areas of concern. I would occasionally see clean floors in areas that prior trips would not have been. Posting about these issues like we have could have made the difference...

And a major 'thumbs up' to a Photopass CM who I saw pick up melted popsicle in DHS...

But it still isn't at the level that matches either the Heritage or the Price Point. The bathroom by Splash Mountain looked like it hadn't been touched. High use bathrooms, including ones outside water rides, should have clean floors at all times, even if it requires a full time porter.

But another issue really got to me (one that had it's own thread) was the Hair Bands At The Top Of Expedition Everest.

The ride comes to a stop at the top. The chance of even one hair band spontaneously coming off ones head it's safe to say is ZERO.
This is intentional, Six Flags type guest behavior, that's being encouraged by not being cleaned up. Broken window theory in full effect. Hair bands on the top of a themed thrill attraction belongs there as much as hair bands do in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame....

I suppose I am too lazy to look this up myself, but how does this deal compare to the amount Disney paid for Potter? I think ABC family was, at one time, the TV home of the boy wizard, no?

We all know it's being dumbed down so that it will not frighten a fearful toddler what's next a G rating...

I noticed this last month and couldn't believe it. I thought there's no way that WDW runs an E-ticket with a show scene covered with guest litter. In fact, I wrongly thought it must be some esoteric Joe-Rohde-type cultural theming.

You nailed it -- the kind of thing I'd expect to see at Six Flags. It's in the category of hundreds of pieces of gum stuck on the wall of a queue. Terrible show quality, but why should we expect anything else at Everest?
