I think you guys are selling TLJ short. It’s the best SW film since Empire and is a role model for the kinds of things future films should do, namely strong character and thematic work and expanding the galaxy.

Most Star Wars movies aren't that good. They're summer blockbusters, nothing more, nothing less. Nostalgia built up their importance. Empire is the only one of these movies to take the archetypes set up in ANH and really do something with them.
In that sense, The Last Jedi is a fine summer blockbuster, except it came out at Christmas so all the new toys would too (a genius move on Disney's part IMO).

I posted that article in response to someone saying they didn't see how anyone could think it was a good Star Wars film. The article is someones detailed explanation of why they thought it was a good Star Wars movie. It's their opionion. It's not meant to change yours.
Would you mind jumping into the other TLJ threads and yell the same thing at all the people posting negative views and vlogs?

I don't think the take away from that user's post should be he really doesn't think ANYONE could like the movie, he was just riffing on the post before. Though I don't think that post was serious either that no one could not like the film. But I get that you were trying to point out his exaggeration.
Kind of, I'm talking in here right now with other people. I don't think anyone's yelling.

I enjoyed the movie and I do think there were some things that are not yet explained that we'll see in Episode 9, but if that happens, they'll just say that JJ Abrams "fixed" it, so it's a lose lose situation for Rian Johnson
