A Flap in the Right Direction

Please read the post again. I only said IJ was completely new. The HKDL projects have nothing on the scale of Carsland-RSR.

3 lands and 30 attractions including 2 huge E-tickets are much, much bigger than Carsland and 1 big E-ticket, IMO, but what ever you want to believe.

You say new things, new rides, new refurbs and full steam ahead with the sheriff.

He says nothing new now, and realistically in a few years.

I don't get it.

That is why I said, "for the most part". You and the D&G crowd have a stereotype of me and how I view WDW that is absurd. Not my problem however.

It is bigger than Carsland but no single attraction or land compares directly to Carsland/RSR. Not even close.

Can I honestly say that I don't?

I think you are a optimist that is full speed ahead for Disney because you love it so much. And once again, honestly. so are we. We all have a love and passion for Disney. That's why we are here.

The only real issue I have is the unfounded claims and sometimes the attitude. You might have an agenda for posting here, and I respect that. Not my problem to worry about you.;) However, when it comes to discussion and friendly debate, such as this, there is going to be opposition. Look beyond that, and yes, you do see the similarities...We all like Disney.

Just a thought...

Time will prove it is more than optimism. :D

Most of us do care about the company. My priority is WDW for personal reasons.

And while some "love" Disney, there are some posters here that have a classic love/hate viewpoint and I don't believe they help the cause. Not at all. In fact I think the hurt the cause. IMHO.

Just a thought.......

I look forward to that time. Optimism is a good tool. Finding the Silver Lining in things is a good trait. However, it needs proof.;)

Same. This is all personal to me. I have fond memories of the world, and it is my right, and prerogative to want more from a company.

Believe what you want to believe. Disney reads all our view points, and acts on them.

Just compare the budgets. And it all can't be because the labor is cheaper.

That shows what little you know about China and how they do business, as I covered in another thread.

Labor in Hong Kong is similar to what it is here. Maybe more. Median income in Hong Kong is somewhere in the ballpark of $80k (equivalent) a year.

It's when you go into mainland China that the bottom falls out. Workers in my factory make $250 (equivalent) a month, and are happy to do so. Hong Kong and mainland are kept VERY separate... Even to the point of prison like rows of walls with razor wire. If you were born in Hong Kong, you're lucky. You've got it pretty good, comparatively. And traveling from one to the other is difficult, especially for those native to one or the other.

That's because of HK being owned by Western style government until 97 (I think it was), when it was turned over to Chinese rule. And even then, the Chinese are obligated to keep the same ruling style in HK for 50 years, minimum.

They even drive on opposite sides of the road in HK than they do in mainland.

Anyway. Labor ain't cheap in HK.

Surely it's cheaper than California's trade union wages. Cause if not, that half a billion ain't going very far.

Interesting take. Not exactly accurate, but interesting.

Proof is coming.
